Wonderful! Will we ever get to see a breakdown of how the $250,000.00 are used to keep this site running? I think it would be fascinating to myself and many others here to see just how much it costs to keep a site of this quality running for a year.

I liked Steve Dallas too. When you first stated that you would be forced to post an "opus" I thought of "Bloom County" but said "naw, can't be". I, and everyone else, was expecting an OPUS (given it's history around here). I even gave my niece an "Opus" doll. Thanks for the memories.

Usually, a new thread goes up between 175 and 225 replies depending on graphics and 'load' time. As this one isn't even halfway in 18 hours, this is probably the LAST celebration thread for this FREEPATHON.
By the way, Celebration thread 1 took about an hour and a half to overload, and thread 2 about two and a half hours. Hope this clarifies that celebration threads are like any other threads, they die for want of reply.
The 'business' of FR is being 'open' for business
These FReepers expend some 'bandwidth' to make it happen.
I am thankful for their perseverance and spirit, and join them in celebration.
I don't understand why anyone would bother to read the fundraier or celebration threads if they find them distasteful.

I mentioned that I disagree. Free as it is meant to be used in the 'Freedom IS not free.' statement is the 'without cost' free(not the unchained/liberty free). 'Freedom' is the 'unchained/liberty' free.
Thus, 'Freedom is not free' is the same as saying, 'There is no liberty without cost.' Do you disagree with that?
