prestidigitator \Pres`ti*dig"i*ta`tor\, noun
prestidigitation, noun

1. Performance of or skill in performing magic or conjuring tricks with the hands; sleight of hand.
2. A show of skill or deceitful cleverness.

Etymology: French, from prestidigitateur prestidigitator, from preste nimble, quick (from Italian presto) + Latin digitus finger: Date: 1859

Good Morning Class. Welcome to School!

Here is my example with WFTD:

In a wonderful show of prestidigitation, the lowly hound returned the money, slightly worse for wear but intact. Dog Eats Money, Returns It Intact . Oh, wait, you guys want a serious sentence? Well, ok.

McLame in his ever-increasing delusions of statehood has fascinated the public with his feats of legerdemain and his seemingly endless prestidigitation. He keeps thinking the people will be fooled into believing that he is a nice conservative moderate… when what he is, is a demonrat in disguise. This is his latest trick. McCain may leave Republican Party to fight Bush in 2004

Palm Beach Florida officials (the ones who gave us hanging chads) are trying to identify the prestidigitator who registered Cocoa Fernandez ( a poodle) to vote.

methinks that had the dog registered as a democrat, there would be no problem.

howdy folks! I'm back!

Good morning teach!

I managed to get the French office straightened out with only a few firings, but Germany is so screwed up that I had to shut the whole operation down. 23 people. (sigh!) I haven't decided whether or when I may reopen. I might just stay put.

The british operation centre managed to clean themselves up when they heard that I was coming down personally - the miscreants (all three of them) beat feet before I could get at their scruffy little weasel necks. So I spent the day finding suitable replacements. Got in late last night so I gots a little jet lag.

how was things in my absence? Boring?

Good Morning, Miss Rika.

I see that Tom Dashole is trying to perform some verbal prestidigitation after his speech saying that if the Demoflops get back control of the House, they'd raise taxes. It seems now that he's already denying that he said that. In other words, trying to make his remarks dissappear. FAT CHANCE!

Clinton's prestidigitation in avoiding incarceration has stupefied the nation. How can Condit be obstructing justice by throwing out evidence of a watch given to him by an old girlfriend, when Clinton had Betty Currie hide similar gifts under her bed? How can Clinton be walking around, revered by the left-wing masses who will pay six figure sums to hear him pontificate for an hour, when he had Monica Lewinsky proffer an affidavit swearing that there were no sexual relations being carried on? And now Condit has sent a former lover a similar false affidavit to sign, and the words "perjury," "witness tampering," and "obstruction of justice" are being bandied about on every cable network. If Clinton was innocent then so is Condit. The rule of law was declared permanently null and void by the cowardly United States Senate, whose members (with a handful of exceptions) refused to address the evidence and gave Clinton a free pass in pursuit of their own political careers. We reap what we sow.

Well....I brought back surprises for all the coquettes!

Some french champagne for their palates

Some of the latest british fashions for their lovely bodies

and some Italian bread, freshly baked (I stopped briefly in Italy before leaving - their office was operating within their parameters, so I left them pretty much alone)

so for the lovely coquettes, a loaf of bread, a jug of wine (OK champagne), and tho maketh for a fine return to civilization!

At her recent confirmation hearings in May, Assistant Sec. of State Christina Rocca acted with presto digitus in pointing out that US sanctions had outlived their purposefulness.

Today, while addressing Indian government officials, Ms. Rocca with prestidigitation said that US sanctions against India (imposed in 98 for nuclear proliferation) would soon be lifted.

The Dover (DE)City council has a long history of prestidigitation when it comes to doing what it wants in direct conflict with that of its residents. The newest prestidigitator on council, newly elected council President abruptly adjourned last night's meeting in the middle of comments be made by newly elected 3rd district councilman Rob Ritter. Mr. Ritter believes the voters have spoken loudly against a proposed park on the west side of town, as evidenced by the more than 2 to 1 margin of defeat of a regerendum of it this past spring. McGlumphy disagrees claiming that voter just didn't like the cost associated with the proposal. McGlumphy was the head of the committee that designed the project.

In the most insidious act of prestidigitation, this story was not reported in this morning's local newspaper. (Fortunatley I still have my abilities from my time as a reporter covering this council to succinctly sum of the meeting!!!)

Good morning all!!!

I don't know what to tell you TSSYF. The criminal culmination coming from congress is frightening. The federal government has done so little for so long, that the sheeple expect it.

The only thing I can possibly think of is the Condit doesn't have the dead trail behind him that Clinton does.

It appears that it was an act of prestidigitation on the part of President Bush, to convince Vladimir Putin of the validity of his reasoning re; the ABM treaty. Couldn't have a thing to do with it being deep, sound reasoning that convinced him.

Related to the intellectually stimulating conversation yesterday, I once experienced a miracle in my life, no prestidigitation involved. While on a hunting trip, I climbed out of the tent in the middle of the night to relieve myself. Imagine my shock and astonishment, the sense of awe and humility I had in the morning when I noticed a perfect portrait of Elvis in front of tent, in yellow, of course.

inasmuch as I shouldnt' discuss business on this space, suffice it to say that there were some folks over on the contiinent who are paid to watch out for, and advance my interests over there. Several of them have been acting less in my interests and more on their own. My assets were being depleted (or at least not increasing as they should) for their benifit.

since their actrions belied an interest in their pursuits, I merely provided them the impetus to persue them without any hinderances from my organization.

The profligate prestadigitation produced by Hollywood is rather amusing. However, THIS poorly written article, which beats up on Matt Drudge for giving away some of a current movie, seems to miss the point. The point I would like Hollywood to hear from Americans is "YOU OBVIOUSLY MISTAKE US FOR SOMEONE WHO REALLY CARES WHAT YOU FOLKS DO."

It appears that the liberals are using a very nast form of prestidigitation are trying to hack the Klamath Basin on-line petition.

SPECIAL STATEMENT: Regarding efforts to disrupt and destroy the Klamath Petition

It's our land, if we can possess it.
It's our water, if we can use it.
It's our Republic -- if we can keep it.

Listen, i saw Ted Kennedy leaving Mass at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception this spring, while chaperoning my kindergartener's field trip. If that man did not turn into a fireball, you are perfectly safe!

If you have to ask, well...

Just this past week, some guy brought in transcripts of his live-in girlfriend's (they were living together 5 years, so it looks more like the Big D) computer sessions - she left, took their child and more than a little money. They were a little lurid, and he had been running this utility more or less in a hidden mode before confronting her about it - of course, he works in IT, and knows more than most in configuring it.

I couldn't find the thing on any site when I was looking for it, so it ain't likely readily or widely available.

Well his attendance was for show, as it was the Mass dedicating the new Catholic Cultural Center on the grounds of the Shrine. There were dignitaries aplenty and we also saw W's motorcade pass by our little Catholic schoolbus. I remarked at the time, on seeing Fat Ted not 10 feet in front of me, that it was remarkable that he had not burst into flames.

My dad as a very young boy was nicknamed "potato bug" as his job was to go out to the garden and pick the potato bugs off the potato plants. This often got shortened to just potato or even shorter. One of my granddad's favorite jokes, family stories tell, was to call my dad over and on a variation of an old joke, granddad would say, "Press the digit, tator."

--todays proclamation by apprentice royal head prestidigitator, the most excellent wizardess and kings confidant, gale de norton, in decreeing the "release" of 75,000 acre of feet of the king's captive waters to the klamath basin serfs and feather merchants and stout yeomanry at last puts to rest the allegations of who was "more correct" in the two camps of 'what might happen".

The much larger camp insisted on legalese "trumping", with much speculation on godlike squads of the professional word twisters brotherhood, and others of this nefarious ilk, and various other normal political hoo-doo, but the real magic used, the magic fore-saw by smaller net camp of the Adepts, that it could just be thusly and forsoothly ordered at any time, upon the king's whim and by-his-leave, and that the Royal executive branch has always been in a postition to just order it done, and so it has has prevailed.

Vindication for the smaller camps viewpoints! Cyber success with the scrying efforts, the veil of darkness has been lifted by the corner, allowing a peek of the future for all to see and ponder!

Of course, there will be much grumblins and enchantments muttered under breath by some of the brethren, that perchance some sort of legalese convulted gobbledegook necromancy and assorted charms and runes and secret spices invoved with this were always the issue, but basic cosmological interpretations and advasnced scrying hath shown what is really true in this matter, and where the wand of power doth rest, and in whose hands it doth yield up it's power!. A king squawks, the serfs listen and obey!

One has to assume that this royal edict and assurance was perchance delayed for various and nefarious occultic and and political alchemic reasons, some obvious to the noviatiate, some not so obvious but perhaps understood by the adepts in the Craft and United Guild of Seers and Independent Soothsayers.

The seers wish the sturdy agrarians wise use in this tossed bone from the King, to thoroughly masticate the meat scraps contained thereon, and to not give up their long term efforts and husbandry of their assets, and coin, and to use this repast to gain much needed strength, and perchance more vision, to ensure future and more bountiful repasts.

--there are a variety of keystroke monitors and recorders out there, as well as remote administration "tools". I can think of several of them offhand that would do the job you describe, and I am not an IT professional whatsoever, merely a driver of electrons. There is even a nsa class (or at least gumshoe class) unwired species, known in the trade as "tempest".
