The "shrinking" surplus story is getting big play on the front page of the local paper....
There's too much taz relief goin' on, I suppose. Aaaaaaargh.....
And of course the Condit story is getting a big publicity boost.
Locally, the fall's school levy continues to intrigue, as the School Superintendent - new on the job - and the Mayor are at odds on the issue.
Chances of the levy's success at this point: virtually nil.
What has caught your eye, or ear, this morning??
These are some of our travelling friends, and there may be more....Have a safe trip.
Y'all were hardly here yesterday!
Guenevere - I know it was cause of modem problems, so you're excused! LOL!
Bible Study this a.m. Got to get going....

Good morning Molly and ALL you wonderful people.
OMG...shrinking surplus!! IMHO, it appears the tax rebate was NOT large enough if we still have a surplus.
Off with Hubby to look for new boat motor. Our 1965 Johnson croaked.....rightfully so....lots of miles on that baby.
LOL! That's the correct take on the surplus, lysander! Excellent!
Did you see this article I posted yesterday?

Yea I saw it...But now I have to go back and figure out how I screwed up whatever I screwed up here. JEESH
You screwed something up???? Where? I don't see it. Well, got to go golfing.... :-)
Morning!
I got stuck manning our companies display both at a Defense Contractor show at the civic center yesterday. Now that was a lot of fun. Sort of reminds me of boths at the county fair.
Happy Birthday~~~Here's a little something right along your lines of sense of humor....**smiles** Hope you have a nice B'day, kachina.

Morning.....Still not really up to speed here...
Maybe a vacation is in order... I have to run to the MV and have the jeep inspected.....not a fun way to spend a day off.
Going to be a stormy afternoon here calling for T-Storms..
Howlin and Jane....it seems Condit didnt say he was sorry....BIG MISTAKE if true..
Someone flag me if anything important happens....must get ready to run...
Hey Molly, your Indians are doing alright. Taking two out of three in Oakland is pretty impressive condsidering that Oakland, not the Mariners, have been the hottest team in baseball since around early June. Of course, the Mariners murdered the Tigers 16-1 so they're still making a case for themselves. Playoffs will be interesting this year as always, I'm sure. I just have a feeling that the AL is stronger than the NL.
Kachina, in answer to yesterday's question about satay, it is meat chunks cooked on wooden or bamboo sticks over charcoal. That's good enough by itself, but the best is the satay sauce. It's peanut sauce with some kind of spice. It was an instant hit for my whole family when we moved to this part of the world.
How many sticks of satay would you like for your birthday, sir?
Hey Mike what are your rates for a room???
:-)
You ARE a piece of work!!!!!! GOLF!!! Fehh
Happy B'day dude.
Good morning Dog. Ack!!! MV...Ack!!...inspection....sorry.
TOP TEN BAD BIRTHDAY PARTY THEMES
LOL!
OMG...shrinking surplus!! IMHO, it appears the tax rebate was NOT large enough if we still have a surplus.
I agree totally. When my father said a few months back the tax cut was too large, I asked him if he thought the government would be more responsible with his money than him? He agreed with my analogy and never said anything about the tax cut again.
Your up early today.
Our rates are $80 a night and includes a full southern breakfast.
My wife and I have been considering raising our rates. Coming this direction?
You do know the Indians are headed to Seattle tomorrow???
We'll trade friendly jabs.. right b4, you Yankee fan, you!!!
Afternoon game today, thank GOODNESS, as I prop my eyes open!
Mike, your logic is excellent ... I've used similar attempts with my liberal in-laws, but their minds are closed.
Congratulations!
Those thunderstorms are whoppers, too! Do have some fun on your day off!!
Nita - Plans for the weekend still in place??
Will check back later this morning....
$ 80.00 ..not bad price at all..Yummy breakfast.
Dog. come visit us. We all can feed our fish by our pond.

Good morning, everyone! We had heavy rain last night, and things should begin to cool down again here.
In the continuing saga of the tackiest, trashiest family ever to occupy the White House, we have Tony Rodham's further comments on the fiasco in his home:
I'd have shot him dead: Hill Bro
These are such low-class people that I cannot find the words to describe them. Ugh!
Reg..... Will let you know what I decide...
Molly...You ever heard of Chris Widger....catcher Seattle I think now. He is from Pennsville N.J. he just bought a piece of land around the corner from me and is building a home on it..
Just wasting bandwidth....as ISB says..:-)
Yankee fans hanging around? The team that lost 9 out of 12 games to the Mariners this year? The team that came to Seattle in 1995 with a 2-0 lead and promptly got swept right out of the playoffs?
I think I best be heading out of here before the response comes. But the next few days should be interesting. I felt all along that the Indians were the rightful owners of the AL Central and those imposter twins now know it.
Good morning everyone! Hope evryone is in good health and spirits today. Prayers to all who are in need of them (and even to those who are not!!)
Well tonight is the "big" interview between con-did-it and commie chung. What a waste of air time. This sleaze bag wouldn't even come "clean" in a letter to his constituents about his involvment with Levy if reports are to be belived. (Any FReepers out there get one of the famed 'letters' to provide confirmation??) Only the most clueless actually belives this will be a useful, hard hitting interview. This farce will probably be reminscent of the babs waawaa interview with the hillbillery twins a few years back. Guess I'll be watchin' baseball again tonight!!
Kanell - Looks like my Cubs decided to score some runs for Kevin Tapini yesterday! (Hope this is just the beginning!!)
Hope to be a gettin' my muffler this week!
So far Molly. Haven't heard any changes, haven't heard ANYTHING as a matter of fact. Dad is to return to Chicago from a business trip in Orlando/Ohio sometime today, and will more than likely drive through tomorrow to here.
Renata is saying good bye to all her friends...one of her closest (a member of the Crazie Eights) is throwing her a party tonite...and tomorrow she has plans too.
I'm assuming my brother will come in Saturday with his family to spend her last day with them. Then they are to depart back to Chicago Sunday.
I think I'm doing pretty good so far....it's just that all the talk in the past,,and NOW it is real...or so it seems. Her Grandmother and her other brother have confirmed the details...
Lysie did you build that pond....Just Beautiful!!
Can I bring a lounge chair and read a book sitting next to it for a week???
:-)
Must be off........back later you all!!!
Ciao!!!
Wow Lysie...neat looking garden...I just might mosey up your way one day too....hey, you see those red flowers you have there??/ I just planted them for the first time this year in my garden.
Thats a piece of art. Nothing could be nicer than getting a cup of that good ole cajun coffee, your paper, sitting by the pond and just relaxing.
I have a story for you which happened to me Tuesday. I feel fairly sure that you can probably empathize with me. It is my habit to swim laps at the pool every day and I have arranged with a friend to meet there for mutual protection. But Tuesday she had an overloaded schedule and didn't show up. So, I put my things in a tas (which is a type of bag) so I could keep an eye on them better and set them on my towel at the deep end of the pool farthest away from the gate. I was alone at the pool. I was hitting the stride for the last several laps. The stuff was still on the towel when I was in the deep end and heading for the shallow. I kept glancing around to see if any kids have come in; they have a bad reputation for sticky fingers. But, by the time I reached the shallow end and looked back at my tas specifically, it was gone! I couldn't believe it. Boy, was I bummed. The only thing left was my towel! My fanny pack, my wallet, my motorcycle key, my house keys, the school keys, my helmet, my shirt, pants, underwear, my sneakers ~~ and I only owned one OTHER pair of shoes ~~, EVEN MY BIFOCALS!!! Everything. I wrapped up in the towel and went to a side gate which leads to a house next door. The gate was locked so I shouted for help. They called hubby at the school who drove over on his motorcycle to pick me up. He didn't know I had no clothes! Then, he got a car and picked me up. The bike we locked in the neighbor's garage. I just got it back today. I went home and got dressed, then, went to the police station. I must say that they lived up stunningly to all my expectations.
Our plans for that evening changed drastically. I now have a new pair of sneaks, a new fanny pack ~~ although I have nothing to put in it. Next week sometime, I'll get a new driver's license. Today, I didn't have a helmet to use with my bike. Tomorrow, I'll have a new one.
Aaargh! And, oh bother! I'm torn between thinking, well, this is THE reason why I'm here. These people don't know any better. And if I catch the little cretans which did this, I'll make them sorry they ever... the thought trails off into incoherent committments.
Today, the poopy principal hit a new note is silly comments. I'm learning to ignore/laugh. This year is a challenge.
Happy Birthday kachina!!
Its the 'genes'. That family can' keep em on. We call them 'white thrash'. What botheres me is that apparently so many folks are like them, they never see anything wrong with their lifestyle.
GOOD A.M. TO ALL AND MAY GOD BLESS 'YA'LL' THROUGH THIS DAY! We pray for those with need of prayer. 'Ask and it shall be received'.
Dog, yes, we dug and we lugged. The rocks were from an old building on our property. Since the water has cleared it is much more pleasant. We can actually see the fish without having to feed them.
Oneida, that's a canna...don't remember what variety. I planted some a few years ago but they never grew. This year they took off.
GC6...That is exactly what we look forward to on the weekend....coffee and the soothing sounds of the splashing water.
By the way...
All visitors are welcome...unless Great Blue Heron or raccoon.
Thanks for the compliments.
That looks like a haven of rest. I'd enjoy being there, too, as long as Dog didn't talk and interrupt my reading.
Thanks, everyone, for praying for my pilot friend. He and his family are returning on Saturday and we'll be serving a spagehtti supper with homemade garlic bread followed by an apple pie. If you knew what I have to do to get apples, you would be impressed. Anyway, his eye isn't totally healed, that may take up to a year, but he is well enough to come home.
Oh Jemian, I DO empathize...or sympathize (I always get the two confused). Not because I live in Singapore since it's about the safest city in the world, but because of my 7 years in China where theft was not uncommon.
If it will make you feel better, I'll tell you about the time I caught a thief in our bedroom in the middle of the night. Just ask.
You poor dear Jem...tell me hon...what is the ONE you don't have right now, can't get there,,that you would just LOVE to have???

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KACHINA!!!!

DUHHH the ONE

Mine would be READING GLASSES.
Oh dear, Jemian...I am sorry to hear about your "escapade". What a bummer. Maybe they will catch the people who did it. Hope you have a better day today! Deej :-)
I am getting ready to start on mine. Got my 'hard' pond, gotta get the hole dug cause of health problems, gonna order me some 'old time' rosses to go in back of it and REALLY going to have to do some planning if I want to anywhere near it looking like yours.
New bras
That happened to a friend of mine last February. Her neighbors two doors over said she woke them up with her screaming.
I understand that Singapore is crime-free. They don't even let you chew gum there! That would be a sacrifice.
What happened with you and your thief in the night?
Through the years I have seen big ponds and small ponds. They are ALL lovely. To some...our pond is considered small.
It reminds me of President Bush's remarks....paraphrasing...some think it is too small.....some think it is too big....I think it is just right. Your pond will be just right~~~~~~ 'cause it is yours. :-)
Isn't it amazing Jem, the simple things we yearn for when we are away from here?? Whenever i was overseas,,in Europe...I couldn't wait to get back home to ROUND DOOR HANDLES..LOL.
Thanks, Deej, but I don't think they will. They won't even make an effort and I don't really expect them to. It's not the way they work. It's something cultural and hard to explain to someone who hasn't lived here. I made the report because that was expected of me, but that is probably the end of it.
I keep kicking myself for several things: I WAS swimming alone, that is stupid (but I'll probably do it again in a different locale). Secondly, I KNEW the kids in the area are very sneaky and quiet. They ARE THIEVES. They were just being true to their nature. I should have taken better precautions. And three, I WAS WATCHING. Except that, without glasses I am very blind. If they were still when my head was out of water, I couldn't see them. Sort of like playing red light, green light as a kid.
The things taken weren't valuable, just needful and sentimental. I'm trying to have the view of holding stuff loosely.
For those who haven't seen it yet, here is the thread with condit's letter:
This condit is quite a piece of work...
Hot running water would be nice.
Also, water that is safe to use right from the faucet. I get tired of having to take a bottle into the bathroom to brush my teeth. Invariably, the one I left is now empty AND STILL THERE! I not only don't get to use what I put in the bathroom, but I have to cart away the empty as well.
It is the little things we miss so much. The pilot is bringing back to us brown sugar, real alcoholic vanilla and almonds. We IMPORT this stuff. In October, a friend is going to hand carry Mary Kay cosmetics, ivory soap, crest regular and soft and dry to me.
How's Sneezy today?
Round door hands... door handles are round? They're not levers?
It's late and my contacts are dry. I need to rest. I'll try to drop in tomorrow morning, but might not make it till Saturday. Have a good end of the work week.
Dog, get some rest. And I really recommend Reagan's little hideaway. It is a beautiful part of the country and, while I haven't been on the property, the drive to it is nice. Good night.
I love Old Roses. They smell wonderful, stand up to all sorts of bad weather, and have history attached to them. In my garden I have the alba roses Mme. Plantier and the White Rose of York, the Lancaster Red Rose, Koenigen von Danmark, and the climbers "New Dawn" and Zepherin de Drouhin (which is thornless and will tolerate shade). Allow PLENTY of room for these rosees, as they get really, really big. Mine are as big as lilac bushes, and the climbers have to be cut back to keep them from taking over the entire fence line.
I am getting a start from my brother's rose bush which came from my father's old house. It is the original "Yellow Rose of Texas," which pioneers cultivated in that state. My grandmother brought a start of it BACK from Texas when they returned to Indiana, and it is quite hardy (has to be if my brother has had success...he doesn't coddle anything).
Although the old roses don't bloom all summer like the hybrid teas, they are such a joy in the spring that I find them well worth the effort.
What happened with you and your thief in the night?
We were living in a foreigners compound at the time and it was a holiday weekend so most of the foreigners were gone. I had just come back from 3 nights away and was home for just one night before 3 more nights somewhere else.
My wife woke up some time after midnight and saw someone standing at the foot of our bed. Being of a very generous neighbor, her first thought was that if there's someone standing at the foot of our bed in the middle of the night, they must have a very good explanation. However, she did think it worth waking me if only to ask them to explain their presence. By the time I opened my eyes and looked, I didn't see anything. Of course, I also didn't believe she had seen anything. However, I did finally turn on the bedside light to prove to her that nothing was there and there and the first thing I saw was some black hair sticking up from the foot of the bed.
Have you ever imagined what you would do if you found an intruder in your home? Whatever you've decided to do, it probably won't happen. In those situations, you react purely on instinct. My instinct kicked into gear really fast and I quickly sprang across the bed and was on top of this intruder, giving him the force of all those forearm shivers that I've seen the NFL-types give over the years.
The poor guy was so overwhelmed that he didn't have a chance to use the knife in his hand (which I wrestled away from him) and before he knew it, he was on the floor with me sitting on top of him. That's just where the two of us stayed for the next hour while my wife roused our neighbors and the security guards. The guards were two old men with a cattle prod, much more frightened than anyone else involved in the situation. Every time the would-be thief moved, they fired up the cattle prod and threatened him.
After about an hour, the police finally came (probably after washing down their you-tiaos, Chinese counterpart to donuts) and relieved me. From the little bit of treatment I saw them giving this high school kid, I think the kid was soon longing for the good old days when a 180-pound foreigner was sitting on him. I didn't envy him, though I also didn't feel too sympathetic. Turns out he'd broken into a number of foreigners' homes and was part of a ring of thieves.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Even talked my wife into taking a picture of me on the thief just to prove it.
What has caught your eye...?
San Diego paper drops Cal Thomas
In the board rooms of the majors, they wonder why they are losing ad revenue. Sheesh.
Happy Birthday kachina! May you live long and prosper.
Oh, btw, I was going to send you a new set of headers and exhaust system for the Vette, but you said I couldn't spend over a $1000. Oh, well.

Well, in a further waste of bandwidth...
High in the upper 80's low 90's. We still haven't had a day over 92 degrees, and it's almost the end of August. 50% chance of afternoon t-storms, partly cloudy, with a UV index of 9 (for those of you in Rio Linda and PBC that's high).
Morning Molly.

How many World Series championships do the Mariners have?
On another note, the Yankees have 29.
Thought you might enjoy that bit of trivia.

I'm sorry Jemian. What a hassle. The bi-focles too, sheesh!
Can you own a firearm there?

I am sorry, HOW many CHAMPIONSHIPS did you say the YANKEES have??? I couldn't QUITE SEE that number. Could you make it just a TAD bigger?? I forgot my reading glasses at home today.
Have you ever imagined what you would do if you found an intruder in your home?
Yes, once. I was living in Richmond VA and heard someone jimmy the door and enter. I got the Mossberg from under the bed and chambered a shell.
Through the bedroom window I saw the perp running for the hills.
5.56mm
Mike, you rock....that must have been awesome sight...
For your and my eddification...
The Yankees have 29 World Series championships.
Gosh, I feel better now.

Mike, you rock....that must have been awesome sight...
The best thing about it was I didn't have to use the Mossberg.
I asked the Lord many years ago when Uncle Sam called that I may leave this planet without killing anyone.
So far, so good.

To all my friends at FR, Thanks for the birthday wishes! I needed a little "upper" today. Have a minor crisis here and don't know how much I can check in today, but I certainly appreciate and love all of you! THANKS AGAIN!!

What's the matter with these?
I like 'em! I was just sitting here, figuring what to do about the crisis and decided that getting old isn't so bad, considering the alternative!
You can spend a few years at age six... That could be fun. :)
AAHHH! Those were the good old days.....when the only decision I had to make was whether to have mustard or mayo on my balogna sandwich!
ONE FOR THE LADIES
A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed, "Dear Lord, I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home.I want her to know what I go through, so please create a trade in our bodies."
God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish. The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to draw out money to pay the power bill and telephone bill, drove to the power company and the phone company and paid the bills, went grocery shopping, came home and put away the groceries. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then it was already 1pm and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home. Set out cookies and milk and got the kids organized to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing. At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing greens for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.
After supper he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 p.m. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love -- which he managed to get through without complaint.
The next morning he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said, "Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back."
The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied, "My son,I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were. You'll have to wait 9 months, though. You got pregnant last night

Don't mean to whine, but this is sort of how the day is going!

Well Birthday Boi, in some ways I can relate...I have a certifiable WENDY THE WHINER EMPLOYEE here....and she isn't "feeling" well today.
But have to fear kachina...i'm sure there are lotz of b'day surprises awaiting you at home.
The really important facts re: world championships can be found HERE.

My hosts are somewhat fragile physically, since most of them are lash-up roll-yer-own linux boxes (and I never put the screws back in). They would not do well with being spun.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Re: #77, looks like someone has been practicing bathtub aversion therapy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
You stold my picture! That is exactly how I feel.
Get this, my natural gas provider, who I am in a payment arrangement with (remember me being without gas for 2 1/2 weeks?) turned my gas off yesterday morning, and they weren't supposed to even get their August payment until today!
I am so mad, I am thinking of suing them or something. I will now be without gas until sometime on Monday.
Today I went from being Sneezy to Sleepy! Oh I hate when this happens: I went back to bed after posting kachina's birthday wish and my message to Jemian and fell asleep. Just before I actually woke up, I dreamed I woke up and that the clock said 3:38pm, meaning of course, that I had missed picking up the boys from school. I swore that I was awake and I was thinking to myself, "Now how in the world am I going to make the PTO meeting tonight?" and all these thoughts were going through my head. After my heartbeat had risen to about 150 bpm, I realized that I wasn't really awake and woke up. The clock read 12:00pm.
I think I'm gonna stop taking that cold medicine I was taking....shew.
Your birthday and a bad day?? Okay, today is cancelled as your big day!
Pick a new one and we'll celebrate all over again!!
M Kehoe - Good morning to you, too! I'm feeling quite friendly today, even to Yankee fans...
Rivendell - It looks like even Chicago is beginning to appreciate Sosa....3 homers yesterday!!
Dearie, STILL having modem problems & must keep the phone clear until it's fixed......so I'm only here for a few seconds.
Hey!....I just saw on FOX a new pic coming out on the cover of PEOPLE MAG of the Condits....Gary & Carolyn...and guess what, she has at least one thumb :^
PLEASE keep MrConfettiMan in your prayers this day, as he's having brain surgery.
I will now be without gas until sometime on Monday
Eats lots of tacos, today!!
Sorry, but you KNEW that was coming!
Why did they turn it off? I'd be mad, too. Call them and tell them you are calling your local news consumer hotline to complain about it (really do it, too) and I bet they're out there to fix it in no time. Unless, of course, you don't have a local news station that does those types of stories. Hope it works.
I think I'm gonna stop taking that cold medicine I was taking....shew.
Cherub: What brand was it......Jack Daniels?!!!!
Nah....Alka Seltzer Cold Medicine. I think I'll just stay "congested" from now on. I hate when I have dreams like that. It ruins my whole day. ;-)
Hey!....I just saw on FOX a new pic coming out on the cover of PEOPLE MAG of the Condits....Gary & Carolyn...and guess what, she has at least one thumb :^
I'm confused. Do you think he's been smoking?
Try Tylenol-Flu. Works for me and no drowsiness.
So here's how the day goes. I was down to 2 sales reps (the best one is on vacation for 2 weeks). 1 is mediocre, the other one stinks. So I hire a young man, very energetic, lots of knowledge and potential. He comes in today (he just started Monday)and resigns! He was offered another job that he couldn't turn down! I haven't heard from the mediocre rep since Tuesday.
I've got pre-set appt. leads coming out my ears and nobody to run them, so guess who goes back on the road next week? The Blonde is going to confirm the appts (she's one of the best I ever met at this)! On the up-side, I can keep the commission.
Therefore, I probably won't be around much next week, if at all. Grrrrrrr!!!
I feel for you. There are very few contractors left working for the company that I work for. One of them works for me. Layoffs of direct employees continue. So, I ask my contractor to put together a justification for keeping his function, ASAP. Big boss wants it. So what did the contractor do? Went to lunch. I hope he's got a current resume.
/john
I'll try it, thanks. Sorry about your sales rep(s). Hopefully your "mediocre" guy will call in soon..maybe he's just really busy.
I had one of "those" days yesterday....nothing went right. Mark got a demerit for "misbehaving in class"; Michael's teacher wants to see me about his "math work" (he's up to the work, he's just dawdling in class); the principal of the school thought that I had arranged for refreshments for Tuesday night (even though he knew I wasn't going to be there, and I had asked him if he wanted me to get somebody else to do it); I burnt the chicken on the barbeque; spilled Diet Coke all over the floor.
Hopefully, today (what's left of it) will go a little "smoother". (((hugs)))Deej

Thanks for the hug.....I needed that.
Mozie, you just HAD to get in a Packer plug, didn't you?
Molly, I'm sorry that the Yankees are going to win the World Series, AGAIN (NOT!)
I've been off-line for about an hour due to Steve Case and AOL. If they don't solve the problem soon, they will lose a four year old customer.
Also, please keep the Klamath farmers in your prayers. Methinks the guberment has frayed their last nerve. Hopefully this will come to a peaceful and just solution.
If not, I fear another Concord bridge. This redux will make the last one look like a walk in the park on a warm spring day.
5.56mm
I'm having one of "those" days here too. I should be used to this now tho..after 10 yrs in the military and another 12 as a Federal Employee....we have just experienced another one of DOD's famous change the policy AFTER the fact so now go back and start ALL over again.
I have to turn in about 40 old computers...paperwork done and puters signed for. On 4 Jun 01 a directive was issued regarding new procedures for Disposition of DOD Computer Hard Drives. We recieved this new directive yesterday,,,22 Aug 01. the 40 computers I turned in last week?? They are all coming back to me. Then we reinvent the wheel and start all over again. This new procedure entails 3 or 4 new pieces of paper, and stickers to stuck on the computers.
Did I mention my boss is not a happy camper?? Do you know how much space 40 computers takes up??? With another 30 pending???

I'm already "Dopey", I'm just morphing from one dwarf to the next. ;-)
And no, the hair color is real.
Now that the niceties are outta the way:
DUCK!
The squadron is headed your way, Kehoe! ;-)
You're welcome!
I just called the school and told them that I cannot go to the meeting tonight...I just don't feel up to it...and that's very rare for me. I am not going to push myself to the brink to go give a 5 minute speech. Plus, my babysitter just called and she's sick, too. So I'd have to take the boys with me and that just wouldn't work. Mark would be yelling at me while I was giving my speech, and there aren't suppossed to be any kids there anyway. So. Ha. They can handle it. I told them to. ;-)
Jeez, that was quick. I see the hummingbirds outside.
If I said, "lovely lady, please get well soon," would you call that swarm off?
How about if I sent over a pizza?
5.56mm
Sure....I just radioed them, they should be on their way back home.
Thanks for the pizza, the kids will enjoy it! ;-)
Do you know how much space 40 computers takes up
Before or after compaction in a hydraulic press? Put a bullet through each one and a NRTS tag with the code for battle damage on it. Let depot hold 'em.

Can you get vanilla beans (pods?) I know a way to make homemade vanilla. It involves vodka too.
Back to start a new thread...
How are you doing, Utah Girl? How're your Mom and Grandmom?
Hi all y'alls.
Wanted to check in before I started getting stern looks.
Molly - it is nice to see you back at the helm again, even only temporarily. You, Miss Marple, Chairman, Reaganomics, and all others who make the time to keep the thread going are so vital, and much appreciated!
Mozie - thanks, Sweetie, for the posies. They smell heavenly. : }
illstillbe - I read the story of your cat-sitting pup with great enjoyment. Prayers back to you and yours.
kayak - my loyal pinger. (Har! as illstillbe, and also W. would say). Thank you ever so.
kachina - Happy, happy birthday. I was an Aug baby too! Something in common, we have.
DJ - I can so relate to the business of freaking yourself out when you wake up thinking you've overslept or you've had a nightmare (and I don't even require drugs for this) and your heart feeling like it will explode cause it's beating so fast. That also happens to me, if say I've been sleeping on my arm or something (shut up lepton : } ), and wake up to my arm being asleep....it absolutely freaks me out.
kachina Happy Birthday kachina!! HOB
It is so good to hear from you Josie!
You are very faithful about stopping by when you can, and sharing your life in sunny California with us.
Aren't you about to set off on a vacation??
Well John, believe it or not, one of the "New Directives" for the disposition of hard drives states to "DESTROY H/D WITH SLEDGE HAMMER OR OTHER HEAVY ITEMS" then put a sticker on it with the model and serial number of said H/D and a brief description of the destruction method used.
I wanna know WHO is getting paid the big dollars to think this stuff up.
