A Truesdell Middle School science teacher who was charged this month with having sex with a 14-year-old student has been charged with raping two other former Truesdell students.
In the new charges, Earnest Overton, 34, is accused of raping one of the girls twice -- in December 1996 and in June 1997.
He is charged with raping the other student in June or July of the same year.
Overton was initially charged with rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child after Wichita police said he had sex with a 14-year-old student in 1997.
Each of the rape charges accuses Overton of having non-consensual sexual intercourse with a victim who was overcome by force or fear.
Wichita police spokesman Janet Johnson confirmed that the three victims are former Truesdell students, but said she couldn't comment further on the case.
A Wichita public school official said Overton, who has been with the district for 11 years, remains suspended with pay pending the outcome of his court cases.
Overton was booked on the new charges on Wednesday and later released on bond. He was ordered to have no contact with children under 16 other than his own.
Overton is scheduled to make his next court appearance Monday. His lawyer, Jay Greeno, declined to comment.

after the girl in the first case told a friend about
having sexual contact with a teacher. The friend
told a parent, who then contacted police.

With all these teacher-sex-student stories, I want to know whether the teacher was a mamber of the National "Edukashun" Association or the American Federation of "Teechurs." Given the stands of the "teechurs" unions on "alternative lifestyles," I wager that union teachers are more likely in proportion to their numbers, than non-union teachers, to engage in conduct lke this.
Also, I wager that public school "teechurs" are more likely in proportion to their numbers to do this than private, parochial and charter school teachers. Any competent news organization could get the data for these comparisons. None have done so. I wonder why?

Don't sort attacks by sexual orientation but if you want to check, there are over 100 links on my profile to FR posts concerning assaults on students by teachers.
This list of attacks that you have amassed are horrific.
I've heard circumcision works miracles in cases of this type--as long as the delicate operation is performed with a chain saw.
Feel free to copy the links, re-post and pass them around. The media sure isn't going to report the number of assaults unless they are forced to. A member of the clergy in Outer Nowhere Kansas molests a kid, it becomes national news and Hollywood considers a movie. Government teachers are a protected species. Let's try to change that.
"circumcision" is merely cutting off the foreskin. If you are talking about what I think, you want to make a mare out of a stallion. Circumcision wouldn't accomplish the desired effect.
