PRISTINA, Yugoslavia, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Two peacekeepers were shot and injured in the provincial Kosovo capital Pristina early on Tuesday, a spokesman for the NATO-led peacekeeping force said.

The KFOR spokesman said four Kosovo Albanians were involved in the incident outside a Pristina nightclub and that one of them was also shot and wounded. A third soldier at the scene was unhurt.

The injured peacekeepers were taken to a field hospital near Pristina and military police were investigating the case, the spokesman told Reuters.

Giving a different version, a statement by the local KFOR contingent later said only one soldier was injured.

It said the three soldiers were off duty, in civilian clothes and without weapons at the time of the incident, which it said took place in a bar. It said they had been provoked.

Interesting that the article did not mention the 72 Kfor soldiers KIA nor did it mention how many have been wounded.

given the KIA rate, one could be prudent estimating 250-800 wounded.

and the only guys with guns in the area are KLA......

It seems that the clanist infighting still plauge the KLA. These gangsters are jockying for power to see who'll run the pimping and drug operations. I wonder how much of a cut that both Thaci and Ceku are taking in? These Hoplite heros have been laying low awhile and it seems that they are waiting for the factions with in the KLA to kill eachother off. Damn funny people these Albanians...

How Albanians fight -

(from KFOR Online):

Shooting Incident
Four off duty Russian KFOR soldiers in civilian clothes were involved in a shooting incident with four civilians at the Miami Beach Club in the Sunny Hill area of Pristina. A fight broke out in the club which escalated and moved into the car park where blunt weapons were then used. At some stage a firearm was produced injuring one of the Russian soldiers in the back. He was taken to Pristina Hospital before being transferred to the Russian field hospital in Fushe Kosove / Kosovo Polje where he is in a satisfactory condition. Two of the civilians were taken to Pristina Hospital with head injuries. The Russian Military Police is conducting a full investigation.
