ATHENS, Sept 6 (AFP) - Greece's armed forces will hold training manoeuvres dubbed Philippos 2001 in the north near Macedonia from September 10 to 14, the army said on Thursday.
"The aim of the exercice is the training of officers and army units in modern operational developments as well as the promotion of cooperation between different forces," an army communique said.
Both land and air forces would take part in the manoeuvres which will be on a "grand scale" the statement added.
Provided NATO decided to be good to the Greeks... As far as I am concerned Greeks are welcome (then again, I am not a Macedonian), but better hurry or Turks may come just before you.

I doubt NATO will be good to the Greeks... They (US) have already chosen Turkey over Greece... I'd say that whatever is left of Macedonia (maybe Eastern Macedonia) will most likely go to the Bulgarians... I doubt NATO would want the AMBO to become the AGBO. Especially since Greece agreed to be a part of Russia's oil pipeline project.... Why is Greece doing these army manoeuvres? Maybe they are expecting some serious trouble in Macedonia, and want to grab some land, kick some Albanian butt, or just be prepared to defend the existing border....
I have a recipe for that somewhere, BRB.
