More than 200 firefighters feared dead in Trade Center attack
Please pray for the firefighters loved ones.
These were brave men. May they rest in peace, but never be forgotten.
When I am called to duty, God, wherever flame may rage,
Give me strength to save some life, whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child, before it is too late,
Or save an older person from, the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout,
And quickly and efficiently, to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling, and to give the best in me,
To guard my every neighbor, and protect his property.
And if according to my fate, I am to lose my life,
Please Bless with your protecting hand, my children
and my wife.

Establishing the U.S. death toll could take weeks. The four airliners alone had 266 people aboard and there were no known survivors.
In addition, a firefighters union official said he feared an estimated 200 firefighters had died in rescue efforts. Dozens of police officers were believed missing.
Officials across the world condemned the attacks but in the West Bank city of Nablus, thousands of Palestinians celebrated, chanting "God is Great" and handing out candy.
From the news story.
They said on TV that 78 NYPD officers are missing too.
I haven't heard this...so sad. How many kids will go to bed tonight weeping for their Daddy who is never coming home again?
These men, heroes all, fell trying to save peoples lives. The terrorists died killing and murdering the innocent. There is a God in Heaven and He will judge them all. I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of the terrorists.
He's the guy next door. He's a man's man with the sharp memory of a little boy who never got over the excitement of engines and sirens and smoke and danger. He's a guy like you and me with warts and worries and unfulfilled dreams, yet he stands taller than most of us. He's a fireman. He puts it all on the line when the bell rings. A fireman is at once the most fortunate and the least fortunate of men. He's a man who savors life because he has seen too much of death.
He's a gentle man because he has seen too much of the awesome power of violent forces out of control. He's a man responsible to a child's laughter because his arms have held too many small bodies that will never laugh again. He's a man who appreciates the simple pleasures of life - hot coffee held in a numb unbending fingers - the flush of fresh air pumping through smoke and fire convulsed lungs - a warm bed for bone and muscle beyond feeling - the comraderie of brave men - the devine plesure of selfless service and a job well done in the name of all men.
He doesn't wear buttons or wave flags or shout obscenities, and when he marches, it is to honor a fallen comrade.
He doesn't preach the brotherhood, he lives it.
