I Lived Across The Street From Terrorists

So I walk in the door. It has been a long day. An emotional one to the extents that this week has been like that of one long car accident. One long funeral. One long war that has begun right in front of my very eyes and right in front of my child's very eyes. But what I walked into tonight was something I was not expecting.

I turn on FoxNews as usual...I had heard all week that there were Florida connections.I had family in those buildings and working around them. I had been connected to this story just as much as millions of other Americans. But I look at the actual screen on my television. It is a scene that I witnessed for 2 years every single day until recently. The Hamlet in Delray Beach. Now the scene of FBI, Delray P.D. and every other law enforcement agency under God. I lived across from where these men were unfolding this plan of attack for years.

I go back to thinking...Florida. Palm Beach. George W Bush. Janet Reno. Terrorism. Bill Clinton. Barbara Olson. Six degrees of seperation. The mess of the election. The court date set to hand down a sentence across the street from the WTC in Federal Court. The same with all of the documents from the Clinton Administration to the FBI.

So much cover-up. So many mistakes. So many questions. Is it time to ask why? Or is it time to finally just sit back, take a deep breath, pop a xanax, drink a bottle of water, look at my son who will be 2 in 4 weeks from today...and look at what we have to truly answer for?

I think it is the latter. The time has come not to protect myself. It has come time to protect my son. My country he lives in and he will be growing up in. He is what I will fight for. He is what I will hope ALL Americans will take into their hearts with their grandchildren, daughters, sons, you name it.Fight for our children here because that is who is going into battle for us in the next couple of weeks. That is who faces these terrorists who had the nerve.

These are the hero's that will be there for us and are right now day and night, night and day. Like the firemen, police, and rescue workers working on all 3 sites right now. They are all hero's to us to me to America to the world. The purpose of going to fight for this and for the United States is that we will have hero's in the future to replace them for when we call on them again.

I lived across the street from terrorists. The farthest thing from hero's. Again never ceasing to amaze me God has shown us another sign that we need to DO something. Supporting the help effort is one thing right now. But the attack on us has happened. I do not think it is the last by far. I think as a war approaches we will be threatened and hit with more. This is our threat here. Now we must put full support and attack by mail or any means in this country anyone who puts down our military and most of all our President.

Our motives are always questioned here on FR.Why do we always attack the media. One only needs to watch the brainwashing our own television can feed us and who is narrating the pictures on the "Sense O'Clock News". Do not let anyone put this country or President down. This is not time for political correctness. This is the time of WAR.

This is about our future as a country. We must stand now and take down the enemies amongst us that are just as bad as overseas that our military will be fighting.

We've been trying, hon. Lord knows we've been trying.
Now, we're not alone. Many have opened their eyes.
It's about time, isn't it?

The only thing I can say is that the area had become more increasingly involved with the muslim population and is filled with money. The Hamlet is a gated community with a guard at the gate. I lived across the street. I can tell you that the muslim community IN Delray Beach is not the friendliest. I can attest to the fact that I did not enjoy going to the local convienence stores and clubs where they would walk in with their flash and in your face attitude. They have just as much as a strong place in Palm Beach as they do in Union City and Jersey City.

Another sign of what is really up in Palm Beach and South Florida. A haven for a lot of corruption and criminals.

I appreciate your comments, but we must remain vigilant against those who would use this situation to take us in the wrong direction. The terrorist attacks succeeded because the people on three of the planes did what all of us are conditioned to do in the face of evil. They were passive. They did what they were told and tried to keep their heads down. I would probably do the same because that's what we're told to do. They died when the planes in which they were flying crashed into buildings killing more Americans. In one plane, the passengers were told what was happening and fought back. They lost their lives but they prevented the terrorists from using that plane to kill more Americans. They are heroes because they refused to be passive.

Many people want to use this situation to make Americans more passive. I just saw a news report that fingernail clippers, plastic dinner knives, and cuticle scissors are being confiscated at airport security checkpoints. If we are truly so passive that terrorists could repeat this attack using fingernail clippers and cuticle scissors, then nothing can save our nation. The problem isn't just the inconvenience. This kind of passivity is making the situation more dangerous for all of us. Those who advocate it are doing more harm than good. We must oppose them.

If you can pull up a transcript for Hardball from tonight, there was a guy on the show by the name of Ossaf something, that speaks about what you are talking about.

bin Laden still has people here pushing drugs amongst other stuff. Like your post.

Please pray for my military child, along with others children that will have the job of defending us.

I'll see your bump and raise you a "thank you." I'm very upset that the response to this situation is to make more stupid attacks on the innocent instead of fighting the guilty, but your reasons for supporting the president are excellent. While I do not have children, I want young people to grow up in an America that is strong and free. I spent my childhood worrying about our nation. I saw us as growing weaker both within and without. President Reagan's victory in 1980 gave me real hope that we could become that "shining city on a hill."

I didn't vote for President Bush. I liked him as a person, but I disagreed (and still disagree) with his support for ending the Second Amendment rights of citizens under 21 years of age and with his stance on other issues. While I persuaded friends in swing states to support him, I voted for Mr. Buchanan because I agreed with more of his stances and because I live in Texas where I knew that President Bush would win. I'm the one of the last people that you would call a diehard Bush supporter, but he has been magnificent this week. He is "presidential" and is showing himself to be a tremendous leader. The media carped on President Reagan as well, but he brought hope to many in my generation. I believe that many young people will draw hope and inspiration from the leadership that President Bush is providing. They will see how great it is to have a man in the White House again.

Ashcroft is asking that anyone who has any information about the hijacker/terrorists, even though they are dead, should call the FBI. If you have anything you can tell them, call.

Already have filed a report on anything I might have been remotely near or seen during the time I lived there. Bump!
