Perhaps WTC and the Pentagon were just to draw our attention to the muslims so that when the real enemy with the potential to detonate a smuggled in nuke goes ahead and does it, everyone will blame the nebulous arabs. MAD only works when you have an opposing side that is worried about getting wiped out. Perhaps there are other forces, with nukes, who encouraged the WTC/pentagon attacks so that when they dust off a few cities here with backpack nukes, our choices for retaliatory targets will be limited. China comes to mind immediately. China has relations with the Taliban. China has remained stragely silent during all this. The Chineese are cunning and clever and ruthless..
