Although the leftist east coast media has tried to atttack the president, it has not worked. The Americans out in the street loved his rubble topped speech because it camne from the heart and expressed what the average American is thinking.

Deb, the dingleberries on the left will use ANY occassion to bast the President, the Constitution and American instituions. When they SEEM to be supporting any of the above, it is only for tactical advantage and does NOT reflect a genuine change of heat on their part.

Get used to it.

In the days and months ahead we are going to hear more and more half-hearted words of support for our Government, our Servicemembers and our struggle -- but through it all I strongly advise you to keep one hand on your wallet and your back to the wall. Bye the way, the Stars and Stripes are flying from my Kugayama, Tokyo apartment -- and will be flying throughout this crisis. Unfortunately, this flag is more of an heirloom, being one that I have kept with me since the early 70s, and is getting a bit yellowed and faded.

I shopped for a new American flag in Tokyo today and could not find one. I realise that they are in short supply in the U.S. as well, but if any FReeper can find a new one for me, I would be happy to pay for it as well as shipping costs.

There's a flag store down the hill from me. They don't have a single American flag left. Every car has at least one flying and every house has a couple. And this is Hollywood.

I believe that too,Irma.I was very moved to read that part. Question - Are the stores in your area sold out of American flags? I can't find a flag anywhere.I've tried Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Pick and Save and they're all sold out and don't know when they'll be getting any!
