Quote of the Day by GuillamI am putting together a collection of political Editorial Cartoons since the Terrorist Attack Tuesday. I am not looking for links to them on the Web somewhere, I am looking for cartoons you have posted or intend to post. They must be posted on FR to be eligible. Five me a pong if you run across one on a thread. (Give me a Ping. My typing error made me laugh, so I left it.)};^D)

Could we please have last year's election
now?
Kennedy biographer, Richard Reeves, was on CNN earlier and called Giuliani, "...President Giuliani, because he was a real leader while the other one was hiding out for two days."
I hate the Left so much, right now.

Reeves forgets that there will be upwards of 5,000 bodies at the WTC.
As Dubya clutches the son's badge given to him by the policeman's mother,Reeves will sulk and hide for two weeks..

Although the leftist east coast media has tried to atttack the president, it has not worked. The Americans out in the street loved his rubble topped speech because it camne from the heart and expressed what the average American is thinking.
To: Deb
Deb, the dingleberries on the left will use ANY occassion to bast the President, the Constitution and American instituions. When they SEEM to be supporting any of the above, it is only for tactical advantage and does NOT reflect a genuine change of heat on their part.
Get used to it.
In the days and months ahead we are going to hear more and more half-hearted words of support for our Government, our Servicemembers and our struggle -- but through it all I strongly advise you to keep one hand on your wallet and your back to the wall. Because as sure as God made little green apples, as soon as they think it is safe, the knives will come out again and any Conservative back will be considered fair game.

bast -- blast
heat -- heart
Sorry folks, Ronin can't finds his specs this afternoon and has his nose up to the screen.
Bye the way, the Stars and Stripes are flying from my Kugayama, Tokyo apartment -- and will be flying throughout this crisis. Unfortunately, this flag is more of an heirloom, being one that I have kept with me since the early 70s, and is getting a bit yellowed and faded.
I shopped for a new American flag in Tokyo today and could not find one. I realise that they are in short supply in the U.S. as well, but if any FReeper can find a new one for me, I would be happy to pay for it as well as shipping costs.
FReep mail me if you have advise.

There's a flag store down the hill from me. They don't have a single American flag left. Every car has at least one flying and every house has a couple. And this is Hollywood.

The president met for nearly two hours with families of the missing and dead at the convention hall. One woman, who declined to give her name, said: "He was the most remarkable man. He met with each family. He wanted to hear each story. This was from his heart." Thank God we have a REAL MAN in the WH. God Bless President Bush and God Bless AMERICA

I couldn't agree with you more, blackie. You know, when I looked at the top photo last night,I thought,it's like he's not just throwing his arm around this fireman but around the city of New York! Did you watch the Memorial Service Friday? I'm still moved by it.
To: Valin
Wasn't that just wonderful?! I didn't hear this on the main TV stations did you?

Mercifully,I didn't get watch any of the morning talk shows.I had to get ready to go to Mass. What an outrage! I hope people called CNN and complained!
To: KC_Conspirator
I think you're right,KC_Conspirator.I wonder if New Yorkers like GWB any better now? Does anybody know what the feeling in N.Y. is now, besides sorry and outrage?
To: Irma
I believe that too,Irma.I was very moved to read that part. Question - Are the stores in your area sold out of American flags? I can't find a flag anywhere.I've tried Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Pick and Save and they're all sold out and don't know when they'll be getting any!
