Brazil Parliament Votes To Allow Air Passengers To Carry Light Firearms
From Tomás Mano de Carvalho Alliance
Nacional do Brasil 09.15.01
RIO DE JANEIRO - To avoid that an aircraft is used as bomb against important buildings, the Brazilian parlament decided today to liberate light weapons (calibre less than 0.38) for all passengers over 21 years old.
As 65% of all Brazilians with income more than US$ 2000 always walks equipped with gun, the government finds it safe and guaranteed that sufficient persons will react against any eventual highjackings.
Extra information will be distributed and presented by the air hostess. When they show the safety equipment they will also inform the passengers to prepare eventual shot with precision, always take aim at chest to avoid that bullets perforate the shell of the aircraft.
The president, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, wanted to make his veto against the proposal, but was rejected by the astounding majority of 234 against 6 votes.
Pass this information to American news-agencies to lighten a new angle in perspective of criminality.

Brazil? Hmmmmm.
Sounds good to me

Wonderful, There is a bullet ,38 caliber, when it hits its first target, dissipates its energy, and will do no further damage. This bullet seems right for the job. It is considered a safety bullet (oxymoron). Make no mistake it will take out someone hit in the chest. Bravo to the Brazil Parliament who trust their citizens and give them an equal chance to react.

And when some idiot squeezes off a few rounds at 30,000 feet and the cabin pressure goes??? Then what?
It all sounds good , but I am in favor of making the pilot's cabin more difficult to enter.

Amen. Way to go, Brazil!!!

I see it has mutated again.
I can't believe that Sierra Times fell for this obvious hoax.
If the author was legitimate, his name should be showing up in a Google search. It doesn't.
If the "National Alliance of Brazil" really existed, it would show up in a Google search. It doesn't.
This hoax has been posted multiple times. If you did a search for it before you posted it, you would already know that it is suspect.

Just knowing that many of the passengers are armed will prevent attempted hijackings. And explosive decompression of aircraft only happens in James Bond movies.

America could learn something from Brazil. Oh, no! That's right. We can't. It would be insensitive to the "Brady Bunch" so we can't.

Big Bump!
To: Boonie Rat
OK, I should read threads before posting. Got me again! :(
To: Boonie Rat
It doesn't matter, hijackings will not be successful now that passengers realize they will die if they DON'T act.
BUMP

Double check all information. Brazil is the source of the email circulating on the Internet that no Palestinians or other Islamics really celebrated and that CNN showed old file footage and all the other Nets used that footage.
Propaganda, agitprop and disinfo are rampant. Please don't compromise FR as an information source or help our enemies by posting things we aren't 100% certain of.
This is going to go on for a long time. This time the war is at home, as well as abroad. We have many enemies and our attackers have many friends.

This would be great if true, unfortunately it has all of the trappings of a hoax

If you did a search for it before you posted it, you would already know that it is suspectApologies. However I did a search, as I always do, on the Headline and got a response regarding Hitlery.

WOW! A government that actually
trusts its citizens. Too bad we can't get some of that here!
Thank you again, damn fool liberals! Particularly the bloated Rosie.
To: SpinyNorman
The first smart move by a government since the first hijacking!
Arming all passengers has been my answer for decades, it changes attempted hijacking into attempted suicide.
