Although our household has not watched (or been able to stomach) the Today Show in many years and CANNOT CONFIRM the following information, we wanted to forward to you an excerpt from an email we received this week. I must add that I *was* listening to Katie Couric the day she accused the Christian Coalition of being responsible for the death of Mathew Shepard (which was the very last time that program aired in our home), so the excerpt below has a strong ring of truth to me.

"While listening to NBC's Today Show coverage of the ruthless attack on
our beloved country and while the World Trade Center burned and decent,
courageous firefighters plunged into the damaged towers without regard for
their own safety, I heard Katie Couric in a discussion of terrorism lay the
blame for the attack on George W. Bush.

I cannot quote her precisely, that information should be available on
NBC video tape. What I did hear is Katie Couric say that the Bush
Administrations Mideast Foreign Policy and Policy regarding Israel had
caused such a rise in regional tensions that this was a predictable
outcome."

CNN earlier this year took the unprecedented step of going to Capitol Hill to find out why ratings were falling; now is the time to continue to pressure the networks, all of whom are losing rating shares. Let them know there is a REASON they are losing viewers!!!!

According to the Media Research Center (www.mediaresearch.org), major media, including the Washington Post and ABC News, have launched a full-scale spin war against President Bush following the attack on our nation.

Liberal columnist Mary McGrory, in Thursday's Washington Post, stated that George W. Bush "could not find the beat... He allowed himself to be hauled about the country like a fugitive to bunkers at Air Force bases in Louisiana and Nebraska." She proclaimed that Bush "flunked" this country's test: "he says he believes in education and he has three years to take a makeup exam in leadership."

In an exchange on ABC TV between correspondent Claire Shipman and anchor Peter Jennings on Wednesday night, Shipman implied that the White House is "eager" to put forth the report that the White House and Air Force One were targeted in order to divert attention from President Bush's "spend[ing] his day yesterday flying around the country instead of coming straight back to Washington." Jennings noted "we're all pretty skeptical and cynical about Washington."

Tom Brokaw, interviewing Gen. Schwarzkopf, implied that the Bush administration was negligent in not getting actively involved in the Mideast peace process while all the violence was going on.

And Dan Rather introduced President Bush before he addressed the nation in the middle of this emergency by saying, "No matter how you feel about him, he is still our president."

There are others as well: Newsweek's Howard Fineman moaned about Bush's flight on Air Force One and criticized him for not winning the popular vote; Newsday's Ellis Henican, asking if we "have a president too nervous to work live"; Maureen Dowd at the NY Times, complaining that reporters "weren't sure where the president was"; and ABC's Mark Halperin insisted that, if reporters aren't informed of every little detail of this war, they aren't "likely - nor should they be expected - to show such deference for long."

ACTION ITEM: Patriotic Americans are supporting President Bush ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. It's time we let the liberal media and their talking heads know that.

What did these f**king leftist morons expect - that the President of the US should have a press conference on the White House lawn while hijacked planes were flying around US airspace?

I'm surprised they're not criticizing his father for his failure to personally lead our troops into Desert Storm while wearing a target around his neck.

I just finished sending off my emails to all those ANTI-AMERICAN clymers!! I told them they were Anti-American, WHEN YOU ATTACK OUR PRESIDENT YOU ATTACK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!

Sickening. They are taking such huge risks with their ratings. My hubby was just reading a poll that showed Bush's approval ratings in the 90 percents! What do these media organizations think they're doing? They must be trying to counteract that information or something, those numbers must be making them panic, but telling the American people they are *WRONG* about Bush at a time like this should really backfire. BTW did anyone see Tony Snow doing the week in review last night? A display of open-faced sincerity I've not seen coming from a newsman EVER.

I just sent my individual emails to those people listed on that page. I sure hope they change their tune. But to me those talkingheads are kind of like they're a bunch of crickets chirping in front of an oncoming steamroller and criticizing the driver. They just better get out of the way, whether they change their tune or not.
