This offensive was pushed back and the taliban had to be folded up it added.

" They could take some nodes and to progress but then, at the time of our counter-attack, they were obliged to withdraw itself " it specified.

" the engagements started towards 02H30 (22H00 GMT) and still continue ".

" the confrontations continue in Dashti-Rubat, Durahee Kalafgan (the crossroads of Kalafgan) and bandages it of Lata ", it still specified.

" the taliban took the heights of Ziarat and the hill of Zanboor Bolaq which they then lost at the time of our counter-attack ", added the spokesman.

" the taliban intended to benefit from dead from the commander Ahmad Shah Massoud to advance but they failed for the moment ", it still said.

It was not possible to obtain information of taliban source on this offensive.

They are probably hoping to gain control of the last 5% of the country in a futile attempt to stop Americans from using the area as landing strips.

Sorry, had to lighten it up a bit...

It's obvious. The Taliban doesn't want to have to fight a two front war. They can't afford to man the Pakistan border while fighting rebels on the other side of the country.

Not obvious to me. They will not conquer the Northern forces now as they have not been able to in the past (unless the N lacks the help that they have been getting). N orthern thrusts if they are occurring, are a diversion in my book (barring outside support).

taliban had to be folded up it added

The next time they fold on an offensive...there won't be any "folding"...the rusults descriptive will carry much more finality...

I find this quote immensely amusing This offensive was pushed back and the taliban had to be folded up it added.

On a more serious note, I wonder if the opposition has a more easily defensible area. That might explain why they want it now, before the U.S attacks.

Is this the reason for the ultra volatile nature of the recent attack? And why 19 soldiers of Allah were willing to carry it out? Their hero of the Afghan/Russia battles, the biggest hero of their time, was killed two days before? Forgive if everyone else knows this, it is the first I've heard of it.

Panjshir Valley (sp?). It's, from what I've heard, a fortress that 'cannot' be taken. One of the places where the Afghans kicked commie butt during the Soviet aggression.

I have given the idea of pork bombs some thought.

This would be a psychological boon. Since they cannot be in contact with pork. The idea of the Jihad, Holy War, is that those that die in it go to Paradise immediately. However, if they die unclean, meaning in this instance with pork splattered on them, they do NOT go to Paradise.

By saying that we are manufacturing body bags, to put them in before burial, may make them think twice. Sounds silly, I know, but it may take all the glory out of the Holy War for them.

We can and should say that through DNA we have identified terrorists from the attacks and that we are placing their remains in baggies with pork fat, for burial. This would also prevent them from going to paradise.

We need to utilize this as best we can. It may help.

The British have used the pork fat, and entrails successfully in the past.

I suggest thesem because if we spray blood or otherwise contaminate the soil, we may anger the branches of muslim that at this point are our allies. And we don't want to do THAT. We do need them.

So, I thought the body bags of pig skin would be our best bet. But we'd need to make it common knowledge, so they would know in advance.

The announcement of pig skin body bags for them, might slow them down enough, so that President Bush can deal with North Korea.

Just a thought.
