Osama issues decree to kill Americans: Report IANS
(Islamabad, September 17)
Saudi renegade Osama bin Laden, blamed for the U.S. terrorist attacks, has reportedly ordered his supporters to kill Americans over Washington's decision to launch air strikes on Afghanistan.
An e-mail message purported to be from bin Laden and received by the Pakistani media says all Muslims were expected to kill American civilians and military personnel and their allies, reports Online news agency.
"We -- with god's help -- call on every Muslim who believes in god and wishes to be rewarded to comply with god's order to kill the Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever they find it.
"We also call on Muslim (clergy), leaders, youths, and soldiers to launch the raid on Satan's U.S. troops and the devil's supporters allying with them, and to displace those who are behind them so that they may learn a lesson."
The statement also flays the U.S. for stationing troops in Saudi Arabia and continuing its military aggression against Iraq.
Online said it could not be independently confirmed whether or not the e-mail message had come from Osama, who lives in Afghanistan.
Dan
First, detain all male relatives of each suicide bomber/terrorist. Intern them for questioning for a substantilly long period of time, say ten years. Make it clear to future suicide bombers that their own families will suffer for their deeds.
Secondly, use animal vectors to drive this jerk and his folowers out of their caves. Deploy infected bats, rats, and cockroaches in the area of the caves. The infections don't have to be terminal, like anthrax. Something completely debilitating, like dysentery, would serve the purpose. That would be less likely to get out of control.
Both of these low tech ideas could be implemented at low cost, low risk, and low collateral damage. They should be considered.
We will find out very soon if there is such a thing as a moderate muslim.
