SPECIAL EDITION
One week after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, President Bush's resolve for justice against those responsible is stead-fast. The White House staff, President Bush and VP Dick Cheney gathered on the lawn at 8:48am in a moment of silence for the attacks on the twin towers. The President also met with Jacques Chirac of France today to discuss last week's attacks, and to discuss plans to end terrorism world wide. On a happier note, the President announced that Amercians have raised over 50 million dollars for the vicitms and rescuers in NYC.
Laura Bush was also busy today as she taped an appearance on 'Oprah', where she discussed the attack and its affect on children. The transcript is available here: Transcript from Oprah, September 18, 2001
