[history]
ASHINGTON - The dual bombings ranked as one of the most insidious acts of terrorism ever committed against the United States: two American embassies in Africa decimated, more than 300 dead, and a shadowy prime suspect, Osama bin Laden, bragging that the battle had just begun.

I almost lost my breakfast when I saw this admission in the ultra liberal Boston Globe.

I have underestimated the wisdom of our culture if even the Globe is making the Clinton connection

How's that for a mixed review? Clinton was lauded for 8 yrs, didn't do anything; President Bush gets a little jab for his first 8 months. Maybe the Globe is trying to deflect from the fact that MA appears to be at least one of the terrorist US bases.

While we are on this subject, does anyone else remember the Clintons forbiding the wearing of military uniforms inside the White House? Remember that next time you see Hillary rolling her eyes during a Dubya speech. (Just like she did last night)

Now, one infamous day and more than 6,000 deaths later, some in the capital are pointedly, though quietly, critical of Clinton's failure to elevate his actions toward his lofty rhetoric. No rational person would believe the promises of a snakeoil salesman from Arkansas in the first place.

Clinton's solution, just three weeks after the twin embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania, was to fire some 75 cruise missiles at terrorist training camps in Afghanistan and a suspected nerve gas factory in Sudan. They left a bit of the story out. Like the part about the bombings being on the very day monica was testifying, against the recomendations of the top brass, pardoning terrorists. Oh well, all that will have to wait for the book(s).

This is good political tack to take. It will slow down the Democratic surge in the 2002 elections.

It would appear that Bill Clinton finally has his legacy.

Boner Bill and his power-whore wife. Pure white trash.

Allies, critics say Clinton fell short in terror fight I said that last week. Why are they so slow in admiting the truth?

Can't take credit, read it somewhere else. Clinton legacy = Pile of $h!t between the Bushes.

''Clearly, not enough was done,'' said Jamie Gorelick, a former deputy attorney general in the Clinton administration.
Jamie Gorelick? Do you think she she knew Monica Clintonlick?

Certainly this is not the results of anything we did, or did not do. This is a fight against those who hate freedom. It has nothing to do with our government's behavior. As long as there is one person on the other side these things will happen so we have to destroy all of them... for Freedom.

Some wonder whether he wasn't distracted by the legal and political quagmire of the Monica S. Lewinsky case. Then, I guess he mispoke when he said he was going to ignore the scandal and continue carrying on with the duties of the presidency
If only he would have done the manly thing and stepped down from office.

Could it be that the world is starting to see just exactly who and what Cinton was and is and, his wife? They were no more than a 8 year show, a production made in Hollywood. It is AMERICA that was thrown to the vultures for the good of THEM. We just had our first 'HOLLYWOOD PRESIDENT'.

"Some wonder whether he wasn't distracted by the legal and political quagmire of the Monica S. Lewinsky case."
These people STILL don't get it. Or more likely, they're still protecting their hero. It was the BILL CLINTON CASE! It wasn't a sex scandal. It was a felony investigation.

we would have known the terrorists' plans had Klinton not stripped the millitary and intelligence to the bone.
