About Rad-Green
Rad-Green: Radical anti-capitalist environmental discussion
The primary reason for this list is two fold: The need to fuse radical thought about class and environmental issues is at it's height. As well, the need to come up with practical solutions in the way of both tactics and strategy are greatly necessary; very few people among the radical left bother debating the destruction of the environment any longer. So what, what do we do? Let's get down to that, and begin *that* discussion. It is no longer Waiting For The Great Leap Forward" alone, but how do we do it quickly. Debates about the existence of environmental crises are not useful on this list.
This list is open to all who wish to fight capitalism and recognise the environmental crisis we are currently facing. All anti-capitalist thinking is welcome, as is all thoughts within the bounds of the recognition of the coming environmental catastrophe. Any who may still have doubts to either the destruction of the livable planet or the viability of alternatives to capitalism are more than welcome to lurk and read all posts. Primarily the list is based on discussion of the link between environmental and class issues, as well as the burgeoning anti-corporate globalization movement. We also welcome posts of a news or informative variety that help us understand the current situation- particularly involving "anti-globalization" and/or environmental news reports.

One would hope that someone in law enforcement is monitoring forums like this that are a brazen assault on liberty.
Answer = NOTHING
They snipe and bitch and piss but NEVER put anything together that works. They are pathetic human garbage cans.
On the streets of Seattle in 1999, a new movement was born - one encompassing a broad range of groups united in their opposition to global capital. Loosely known as the anti-capitalist or anti-globalisation movement, it has only grown in strength since then, with major demonstrations seen in cities such as Washington, Melbourne, Prague, Seoul, London, Gothenburg and Genoa.
The Anti-Capitalism list aims to bring together all the different groups of the movement - such as the anarchists, socialists, communists, trade unionists, environmentalists, etc. - in order to discuss the future of this movement, what tactics it should employ, the coordination of its actions, and its unity. By doing so, it hopes to help strengthen an anti-capitalist movement still in its birth, unite its diverse elements and contribute to the debate currently taking place within it.
The Anti-Capitalism is a democratic list, not dominated by any faction of the movement. It aims to provide information about struggles across the world against capital, to provide concrete analysis of todays world, to encourage non-sectarian debate between the different factions, and to give new ideas an audience within the movement.
Anti-Capitalism will not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or prejudice of any kind; neither will it tolerate flame wars or provocateurs, and instead will focus on non-sectarian debate in which the ideas of all participants are given the respect that is due. Those critical of the anti-capitalist movement are also able to contribute if they abide by this and engage in non-inflammatory debate.

Professors for Peace is an international network of educators committed to promoting non-violent solutions to global conflicts and to countering racism and anti-immigrant aggression. Established in the aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001, PfP works to respond to violent conflict by advocating resolutions that ensure racial, sexual, economic, and ecological justice. As educators, we recognize our responsibility to foster constructive dialogue in our classrooms, on our campuses, and in local, national, and international forums. We seek to work in alliance with other organizations and movements striving for peace, justice, and democracy.
