How To Report Hate Crimes and Fight Discrimination

Many people are looking for someone to blame for the catastrophic events of this week. In a desire to find the culprit, some are attacking innocent Muslims and Arab Americans, who were equally victimized by the terrorists. Join MTV in taking a stand against discrimination and hate crimes against Arabs and Muslims. Reject stereotypes and look beyond people's racial and ethnic differences to present a united America.

To learn more about fighting stereotypes, download the Delete Discrimination guide. If you are Arab American, Muslim or South Asian American and have been the victim of discrimination or hate crimes, contact the Arab American Institute or American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, or call the hotline established by the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights at (800) 552-6843.

Fight For Your Rights is a year-long campaign educating people about hate crimes and discrimination, and empowering them to take a stand.

Disgusting. Just what WOULD it take for hem to drop their Orwellian mannerisms?

    Also recieved this accompanying e-mail.

Victim Services at the National Center for Victims of Crime has asked me to find some volunteers for next Wednesday, October 3rd, from 11:00 pm - 3:00 am, or anytime in between those hours. The job would be answering the phones from victim of crime who respond to a "hit" on MTV that night, with the focus of the message being Hate Crimes. Training to answer the phones would begin that evening around 9:00 pm and last about 2 hours; of course, if you have availability any other time to train, that would be wonderful. It is anticipated that we will need people to answer the phones next Wednesday and for the next three Wednesdays.

We have no idea as to how many viewers will respond and call us. Staff will be answering the phones and one volunteer has already consented to help.

Did I mention there is not ONE single reference to our armed forces who are about to fight for their freedom, the cops who died in the tragedy and any condemnation of Islamic zealots? But OF COURSE they're woried about "Hate Crimes." Bunch of scumbags.

Where do all the victims of the "hate crimes" perpetrated at the WTC and Pentagon and Penn. go to get redress?? MTV-Marxist television.........
To: KantianBurke

The MTV crowd will love the biochemical mycoplasms that Islamic terrorists are poised to unleash -- they kill without discrimination.

    yeah. Justified. :>

What a total waste of time and energy. But then doing something constructive would just be too too American.

MTV SUCKS. The only thing they have worth watching is the WWF, which ironically is the only non left wing show they have.
To: KantianBurke
MTV, small minds in search of a cause. They overlook the deaths of 7000 in order to prevent small attacks against individuals which will number less than 100. Priorities of left...
To: KantianBurke
Soon they'll be mounting a telethon for the families of the terrorist hijackers. MTV: "We're as repulsive as our viewers".
To: KantianBurke
MTV's not my cup of tea, and they certianly are often scumbags. But this sure isn't breaking news, and , besides, all good conservatives know that everyone should be judged by their character, not their skin color, so a way to report discrimiation makes sense.
MTV is just posting the same hotline number I'm sure the President would like you to use for reporting racial-based discrimiation and/or retribution.
Bust MTV's chops for the crap they put on when it is crap, and their apparent lack of concern for the real heros in this mess - but don't knock them for this.
To: Yossarian
If you're an adult male Arab about to board the same flight as my mother, I may not have time to judge your character.
To: KantianBurke
Does MTV have a corresponding hotline to report potential terrorists?

This was posted under breaking news because I and others are suddenly being hit with appeals from that MTV e-mail group. There was no need to have this pulled.
To: KantianBurke
It must have been the double-minority who sparked MTV's interests considering he stated they were nothing "bull$#!t" if I recall it right.

Bump for you - I, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, do not a problem with MTV asking for this. It seems excessive, but there are so many other things that Freepers could do that would HELP the country. You wanna do something good, call C-SPAN tonight and freep that circus of a protest that they're gonna give more airtime to...
To: KantianBurke
7000 Americans die, and the liberals warn us not to hate.
In contrast, NOT ONE ARAB-AMERICAN has been killed in a hate crime in retaliation for 9-11.
Another liberal 'solution' in search of a problem.
