Peace activists in Japan, Britain and the United States have launched a peace drive aiming to shape public opinion in the United States against a U.S.-led military attack on Afghanistan, according to the lead Japanese partner in the campaign.
Yumi Kikuchi, a Japanese writer on environmental issues, says the peace group Global Peace Campaign has already raised about 9 million yen to meet the cost, estimated at about 13 million yen, of placing a full-page public opinion ad in the New York Times.
Kikuchi, 39, said the group hopes to have the ad published on or around Oct 9.
"We want Americans to understand that by avoiding retaliation, this is a chance for us to resolve problems we were unable to solve during the 20th century," she said.
Kikuchi said her group also plans to raise funds to help victims of the Sept 11 terrorist attacks in the United States as well as Afghan refugees

Sickening, yes, but this looks like a good rat-hole for them to be pouring their money down. At this date, I don't think an expensive ad in the NY Times will have any effect other than to be greeted with smug head-nods among the most bone-headed of the NY liberals.

This is more of the same from the environmentalists, anarchists, and other anti-capitalists.

It may be time.....once again...for conservatives to begin grass roots movements to counter this BS. Shades of recount 2000.......................Statehouse rallies at noon, pick one week-end date, each month, (IE 3rd Sunday or 2nd Saturday) across the country??? Comments?

Yes! In my quest for Neville Chamberlain nominees I've come across several threads calling to watch the opposition for when
they are going to rally and organize counter rallies at the same time!
There have been many threads about the DC 'freep' on 9/29 here is one...
Operation Infinite Freep

FReeping the Peaceniks

Fools. Someone with enough clout to show the nation one - just one - disturbing detail photo of what was left of an innocent American within the rubble of the WTC will neutralize this p.o.s. instantly.
