[history]
Terrorism expert Gary Condit, senior member of the newly formed House Intelligence Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security, apparently has no further need of his police-searched bachelor pad in Washington's trendy Adams Morgan neighborhood. The six-term California Democrat, best known for his involvement with missing intern Chandra Levy, has put his condo on the market for $130,000 -- only $13,000 more than he paid for it 11 years ago. The fire-sale price leads us to believe that Condit may not run for another term, but his office didn't return repeated phone calls.

Regardless of whether he is leaving Congress or not, he IS leaving his condo.

Tear out the walls and check for a body wrapped in cellophane. Just a thought...okay where is the body FReepers?

I would LOVE to see a valuation of comparables in the neighborhood. My guess is after 11 years of market appreciation, the place should really go for about $180-200K, unless the crime (other than Condit's) is so bad it's scaring people away.
Inquiring minds want to know: is the buyer going to have to pay a bunch of (unreported) cash on the side? A guy whose career is over and who wouldn't be hired to wash dishes in the private sector needs something to live on, y'know.

Maybe he's moving to a bigger place that he can share with "DICK" Gephardt.

I despise America-haters and evil-doers...and we're not the only freedom lovers under seige... RANCHI, India (Reuters) - A policeman was burned alive and five of his colleagues wounded by leftist extremists who attacked a police post in India's eastern state of Jharkand, police said on Sunday.

The wall closet was mirrored top to bottom, as was a giant wardrobe -- atop which was perched a big television set.
What no mirrors on the ceiling?
Nelson Rockefeller's bedroom in Pocantico Hills had a mirrored ceiling. Of course in Rockefeller's case HE was the one who died during an extra-marital affair.

Mirrors and candles huh? Guess he wanted to be able to admire himself even when the electricity was off? Couldn't be that he was trying to set a mood, since he is sooo innocent of anything and did not have affairs!
