More than a few people have been asking what Osama meant by the 80 years of history when he said, ""When the sword reached America after 80 years, the hypocrites raised their heads and lamented (what befell) those killers who played havoc with the Muslims' blood, honor and sanctities. They (Americans) are debauchees who supported the executioner against the victim and the unjust against the innocent child. God gave them what they deserve.

This statement about 80 years probabaly refers to the date July 24, 1922 when the Balfour Declaration was embodied in the League of Nations mandate for Palestine, which set forth terms under which Britain was entrusted with the temporary administration of the country in behalf of its Jewish and Arab inhabitants.

The Balfour Declaration

The Balfour Declaration was issued in November of 1917. The letter expressed British approval of Zionism with "the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish People." It committed the British government to making the "best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious right of the existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights of and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country."

Oh gosh, guess after 80 years Osama doesn't realize it is time to "move on."

sheesh, Israel is carved out a tiny little homeland in the midst of land that once belonged to them in the first place and all of the radicals just can't stand it.
In terrority, they have plenty of room. This is not about peace, or a homeland for Arafat et al, it is about running Israel into the sea.

Bloody murderers will always seek to justify their sins. This case is no different. And it's a lie to boot: add up the amount of money and aid that has been poured into Arab Nations in the last 80 years, then throw in dollars spent and the American lives sacrificed to save Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in the Gulf War. It VASTLY outweighs the amount of money spent on Israel. Osama lies because he seeks power; his lies will end up debunked and destroyed just like Hitler's lies.

How's this: when the sword reached America after 80 years, we wrested it out of the murderer's hand and hacked him to bloody shreds with it... death to Bin Laden.

The sword may have reached America, but the B-52s take a lot less than 80 years to reach Afghanistan.

It just proves that there are still societies in the world community who have their own points of reference - that we don't like to explain.

It is the Israeli secularism that bothers these Islamic Nazis the most. That is why the suicide bombers target discos and Sbarro pizza places. The secular culture (mainly ours) is what they cannot compete with. They do not bomb synagogues.

Dumb F__k has three or four wives, none of whom has the sense to tell him he is going to get his butt kicked and ought to get useful work, take a little drink of alcohol now and then, and other good advice. Or then again, perhaps they tell him and he just won't listen.

I know this is off-topic, but can a geologist out there tell me if we can pinpoint--to any degree--Osama bin Laden's location by looking at that rock formation that's behind him in the recent video he made? Thanks.

See this. It is the REPORT ON PALESTINE ADMINISTRATION 1922

It was 80 years to the day, September 11, 1922 when the swearing in took place.

For Palestine, the principal event of the year 1922 has been the approval by the Council of the League of Nations on July 24th, 1922, of the British Mandate for the administration of the territory. The promulgation, however, of the Mandate, as well as of the French Mandate for the neighbouring territory of Syria, was conditional on certain agreements being reached between the Governments of France and Italy relating to Italian interests in Syria.

His Majesty the King in Council enacted, on August 10th, 1922, the Palestine Order in Council, which defined the powers of the High Commissioner, prescribed the formation of an Executive Council and of a Legislative Council, and regulated the constitution and powers of the Palestine Judiciary, with special provisions for religious and for tribal Courts. The constitution and method of election of the Legislative Council were further defined in the Palestine Legislative Council Election Order, which was enacted at the same time. Both were promulgated in Palestine on the 1st of September, 1922. The formal Commission of His Majesty, appointing as High Commissioner and Commander in Chief for Palestine the Right Honourable Sir Herbert Samuel, G.B.E., who had been acting in that capacity since July 1st, 1920, was issued on August 14th. The oaths of office were administered at Jerusalem on September 11th by the Chief Justice.
