Hopefully it didn't have a passenger plane sticking out the side.

ohfercryinoutloud. hehehe.

Should be pretty clear, though, what actually happened. I'm still wondering how they did it. As I recall it was pretty deep. Bringing it up is no small task.

Perhaps this evening I'll have a shot of vodka in the honor of some fellow sailors,. An honorable former enemy, now ally.

On another angle: Don't you find it ironic that today there are B2 bombers flying over Russia, with permission to do so? Funny how things change.

The nose was cut away forward of the sail. If you go to the link above and chose the first article on the left there is a link to a cool animation.

There is the possibility that already happens among the rusting sub hulks littering the harbor at Murmansk. The Kursk will just become another "harbor heater".

Yes,and let us hope that it is a genuine change between our nations. time will tell. Had it not been for Stalin this would have happened fifty plus years ago.

Hopefully they be able to return some of the remains to their families.......

All sailors feel a sense of loss whenever another sailor is lost at sea......regardless of nationality.....

With regard to chocolate, I'll cast my lot with the Dutch.
