Hillary Clinton Tried to Stop Barbara Olson's Book
Bill & Hillary Clinton reached new lows in the aftermath of Sept. 11.
When news spread that Barbara Olson, the noted author and commentator, was among those who had died in the jet that struck the Pentagon, most Americans grieved for her and her family.
Not so with the Clintons.
Instead, they put their PR spin machine into high gear -- to stop the publication of Barbara's newest book "The Final Days."
"The Final Days" -- which is due out from Regnery this month and is anxiously awaited -- details the sordid behavior of Bill and Hillary just before they left the White House.
In a mailing being sent by Human Events, the sister company of Regnery, editor Tom Winter reveals that "Within a week of the dreadful attack on Sept. 11, powerful friends of Hillary Rodham Clinton tried to stop the publication of this book."
Winter reports that Hillary's friends worked feverishly to have Barbara's book "stopped before it was even printed."
He then asked, "What are they afraid of?"
Hillary's friends were even making threats, suggesting that "Barbara's reputation would be sullied if the book were printed."
Wonder who would sully Barbara's reputation?
Obviously, the Clintons have a lot to fear.
While everyone is aware of Clinton's cynical pardon of fugitive Marc Rich and Clinton's Whitewater partner Susan McDougal, how many Americans know that among those given last-second pardons were a convicted smuggler, a spy, a used car crook, and even a drug lord?
And while many certainly heard about the lavish going away gifts the Clintons' Hollywood cronies showered upon them, did they also hear how recklessly the Clintons looted the White House, shipping off 70 priceless museum pieces to Arkansas?
These and many more revelations will be revealed in this blockbuster new book.

Barbaras untimely death really throws them off their game this time. The standard M.O. of ignoring the charges and trashing the messenger wont fly. I mean there will be a few petulant humps like petite Julian Epstein or whimpering Gene Lyons who will have no problem trashing the reputation of a dead woman, but they wont get any traction on that track. Even Carville wont go that route.
Even sympathetic interviewers are not going to be too comfortable with the trashing of Barbara on their shows, and will try to bring the conversation back around to the content of the book. Thats the Clintons worst nightmare.
This book will be one of the more damaging to their already faltering attempts to spin the history of their eight year reign.

Could it be that Dickie Scaife, Carl Limberger and the monkeys over at NewMax are making this up because they need hits on their web site to sell more advertisements for on-line Viagra?
Say it ain't so!
If one tenth of the salacious crumbs these losers serve up were ever proved true, both former president Clinton and her husband would be in jail.

Well lets see, Bubba was fined for lying under oath, can't practice in Arkansas & lost the priveledge of doing so before the Supreme Court, sold off secrets to China, pardoned felons-in addition to his brother which is the only one I understand)... and then we have his most charming spouse who as a "spouse" tried to change the healthcare system and really screwed it up, ( not criminal, I know but speaks to not following established legal rules, the first step to criminality), had to give back government property she stole to furnish her house(s),...

Thats the Clintons worst nightmare. No, I disagree. A sympathetic interviewer will simply IGNORE the book, since Barbara won't be doing the talk show circuit to promote it. Ted Olson certainly isn't going to promote the book in her stead.
So with no Barbara Tour, there will be no reason to even interview the Clintoons about the subject.

I wasn't talking abouth the Clintons, who would never in a million years agree to an interview with anybody who would even bring the book up. Barbara Walters will ask Hillary about her childhood and interior decorating.
I was talking more about the yell-at-each other shows like H&C and Geraldo. The facts in the book will be discussed on those shows, and the liars on the left will not be as able to obscure the facts as they usually are.
The lack of a Barbara Olsen tour will mean it is discussed less, unfortunately.

The Clinton's have to admit that it is hard to win the argument with a corpse. Of course, there was the conversations with Eleanor that Hillary carried out, but they were not arguments but agreement on the socialist ideals of Hillary.

I inquired about Final Days at my locally owned and operated bookstore last night. I was told that they are not going to have the book in stock- ever- but would special order it for me if I wanted. Hmmm. This store is very involved in banned book week, and sells bumperstickers like "honor diversity" and "hate is not a family value". Talk about tolerance.I'm glad they didn't have it. I don't want them to make one cent off of me.

too right. Mrs. Olson's book will come and go and be hardly noticed other than here on FR. The country has truly moved on.

I don't think the book will get any TV attention. It would come off as ghoulish to do a show on this book with the implication the Clintons were glad she's dead, or they'd lucked out.

Couldn't Barbara's husband Ted Olson successfully run for a
SENATE SEAT in 2002 and help turn around our disgrace in Washington? I predict her book will be #1 very quickly. Also sympathies to Ted's family will be much greater than that in MO.
Think about it... If the dead guy could win in Missouri, (letting his widow take over), couldn't Ted Olson win almost anywhere? (including MO in 2002)?
