In an effort to create humanitarian support for Afghani children, President spoke to the March of Dime today regarding not only the well being of American children, but also of those who are victims of the Taliban regime. He again urged parents to invole children in humanitartian aid. The President also spoke regarding National Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanic guests at the White House included singer Gloria Estefan who will donate proceeds from her song, 'The Last Goodbye' to victims of the September 11th attacks. Finally, Bush led the nation's schoolchildren in the Pledge of Allegence today at 2pm. He and First Lady Laura headed off to Camp David for the weekend earlier this evening. Our president is so in control of the situation he amazes me. I am still in awe of last night. ANd look at how neat his desk is! I am still amazed at the emotion he showed today. Real men shed real tears!! (not fake ones while biting the lip while looking out of one eye for the camera)
