PANIC - THE MOST DANGEROUS WEAPON. THEY ARE WINNING!
10-13-01 | Sonserae

With all these reports of panic across the U.S., I'm sure
Osama and the Taliban are laughing at the U.S. at our paranoia
and fear. We are feeding right into their hands.
They want us to be terrified and they are
winning!!!

We must all be strong and calm and level-headed. We can't survive in an environment
of fear. Fear will destroy us more than anything. We must be
positive and keep our heads.

HAVE FAITH AMERICA!!!!

PSALMS 3:21-26

21 My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight;

22 they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.

23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble;

24 when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

25 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,

26 for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.

I'm with you. I'm not panicked....just got back from a trip to Vegas...lots of National Guard troops at the airports....as I would pass one I'd say, "good job, soldier"....they'd thank me and that would be it. Lots of travelers....casinos full...hotels full....no panic.

As for dieing, I'm not afraid of death, therefore, I'm not afraid.

Just read some of the posts and news items.
Facilities closing, mail blocked,
people getting in contact with Sweet'n' Low on the plane and call it a "suspicious powdery substance".
You think that's not panic?

I think the panic is mostly in the mainstream media.

Having said that, if you find someone that is afraid, remind them that they are AMERICAN. Remind them that Americans have guts. Tell them that because they are American they have courage built into them. Encourage them to live freely and not to take counsel of their fears.

It's going to be a long war. The fearful need the help that Freepers can give them.

Never put them down, buck them up instead.

It appears that you're the one who is in a panic -- here. Hey, I wasn't in a panic yesterday -- when I had to stay inside. I was getting tired of holding my breath for about two hours, but aside from that I was doing just fine... :-)

Anthrax Scare? In Lake Oswego, Oregon [Portland]

But, seriously -- you gotta get real. Of course people are going to be watching everything and reporting everything. That's not panic -- that's the very thing that President Bush said to do. Nothing wrong with that.

Look at it this way. You know we're in a war. When you're in a war, you make sure you're not shot (as much as possible, anyway). What are you going to do in a war, just go outside and pretend there is no war. I can see it now -- you're on the front lines and you're saying, "There is no war, there is no war, there is no war..." Sure....

You're gonna be watching out for those shooting at you. We're in a war here. They're going to blow up things, poison us, fly planes into buildings, etc., etc., etc. Get used to it and go after those buggers.

And if you're a Christian, and it's "time to go" -- well, big deal. You don't have to worry. You already know Romans 8:28, don't you. Even so, it's still a war.

What panic? My wife is spended money like usual today, and I'm at work.

Just read some of the posts and news items.

Maybe you'd better not. It seems to be unnerving you.

I'm perfectly happy, me. Cooking a big Saturday morning fry-up, working around the house and listening to a bunch of new CD's I just bought.

No suspicious powdery stuff around here.

I think America is pretty complacent. The peace nicks are one example.

Bump your #6 and raise you one.

Too many people define real life by television.

If one is addicted to the tube, one will twitch when they show the stimulus.

It is good that we have such a resource, but like any opiate, misuse has bad side effects. There is now no time to pause and verify any report. They may say, "unconfirmed" but, no matter - if it is on T V, sheeple and Freeple will receive it as the truth.

There is not panic.

Alertness yields some false positives, they are then ruled out.

I don't think we are panicked we are just intrested in all of the different situations across America, whether they come true or not. We also realize that most are just false alarms. We come here to the FreeRepublic to get the news that is not in the main stream press and discuss it. No panic here just intrest.:)

If you had ever been within 50 miles of a B-52 carpet bombing raid, you would know that Osama and the talisban are neither laughing or amused in any little way.

I wouldn't worry too much. I don't sense panic so much as nervousness and extreme watchfulness. And anger.

This is all very new, and will become routine after awhile. Once we get used to the idea of dealing with a menace like this -- and once we score some significant military victories in the enemy's home area -- a watchful confidence will appear to replace the current nervousness.

I think we Americans live life very FULL. We are responsive and responsible and response-able, because we are FREE to be so. Look at the flip side of all the "scares": we are AWARE and TAKE ACTION. That's good!

I don't see any panic where I live. I'm perfectly happy and content. :) My husband is flying in a couple of weeks, and we are booking our vacation flights for March.

I refuse to let the cave dwellers scare me. I would think that they are a lot more frightened than I am - my tax dollars are falling on them in the shape of big, nasty bombs!

ONE-SIDED News Reporting favoring the enemy - THE MOST DANGEROUS WEAPON. THEY ARE WINNING!

Even Fox is doing it. Since when is showing US flags being burned, showing burning dummies of US citizens in effigy, and giving reports of collateral civilian deaths in Afghanistan appropriate reporting? Anyone remember the lying media during Vietnam? This is even worse. Despicable.

It should be stopped now with a new law making it a crime if deemed by a jury of peers to be sedition.
