[history]
The Afghan Taliban and Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network are unlike any foes the United States has previously faced: They are driven by a fierce, minority strain of the Islamic faith that has essentially declared war on the Western way of life.

Wahhabism is like any other societal virus that's broken out during the last century: Nazism, Stalinism, the Cultural Revolution, Jonestown, the Khmer Rouge, Heaven's Gate, you name it.
And like all of the above, these viruses always begin to feed on themselves once no additional hosts can be found.
It is absolutely assured that the Taliban and bin Laden in particular will eventuially find themselves at the points of their own swords.
Internal fatalism and suicide are guaranteed.

"Minority strain?" listen to the man on the street from Egypt to Malaysia and it sure don't seem like a minority strain. Seems like mainstream Islam to me. How am I wrong? Are all those rioters in Nigeria wrong? They didn't know that Bin Ladenism is just a bastardization of Islam? If we had told them, do you think they wouldn't have rioted?

Part of the problem is it is the mob that gets the camera, the number of people who are not out on the street protesting out number them by millions. Try and put some perspective on it that the media doesn't give us.

Well those millions didn't do much about stopping those thousands did they. That is called tacit approval. Also every random man on the street interview shows that the average joe muslim loves Bin Laden. This is not a media creation, this is reality. You have been sold a bill of goods. Face it. They hate us and it will get worse.

The Madrassas feed the fundamentalist hate and blood lust, and from the Madrassas come the clerics for the majority of the Mosques in the world. Radicalism is kidnapping Islam, but it is fed basically from the verses found in Islamic scriptures. Sorry.

I think you are agreeing with me not arguing. I do not believe that BinLadenism is a minority fringe sect. I believe that more than a substantial minority support him. Not every German was an SD death squad leader, but they sure didn't oppose those policies. When the Dachau farmers smelled the Jews being roasted they couldn't pretend that there was a perfume factory down the road.
