Guliani- humbled? Wow! That's a first! <:G>

Don't get me wrong- he deserves it and he's a superb mayor. (I remember NYC under Dinkins...) but the man's got a kaiju sized ego.

Not to deny that Sir Rudy has displayed amazing leadership during this time, but didn't one of the widows of a WTC victim get deported?

"but the man's got a kaiju sized ego"

What about bill and hitlary's ego? Their ego's are far greater and they did not accomplish anything that is worthwhile.

Rudy deserves this award and we can justify his EGO, he has accomplished MUCH!

Doesn't the Constitution forbid titles for statesmen?

If I had the article, I would post it to you. I think you would find it interesting – a lot of backpedaling. Maybe somebody on this thread could kindly redirect us to it.

Article. I., Section. 9. Clause 8:

"No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."

And PLEASE don't tell me it's ok because it's from England. Just who did the Founders have in mind when they revolted: ENGLISH 'ROYALTY'!

But it's just the Constitution, so who cares!

Found! You can do a search on the following titles:

British widow of WTC victim allowed to stay in U.S.

And then, there is also this one from the Wall Street Journal.

IRS v. Widows : Sept. 11 reminds us why the death tax is immoral
