Beautiful? I don't know about that. I couldn't watch it all the way through.

The last thing I need to see is those poor people jumping/falling out of the Twin Towers set to music...

More "creativity" from the emotionally cauterized MTV generation...

Yeah I think they could have left out the people falling out of the buildings. The rest was very moving.

I sent a note to the author (just click on the "flash by JasonB" graphic which comes up after it's all done), asking him to maybe take the pix of people waving out the windows for help, and falling to their deaths out. Just a little too much reality and horror to be set to music.

Thank you so much. That was stunning. And pay no attention to the criticisms about the falling bodies. They were part of this appalling attack on America. There was no reason to "sanitize" this particular horror of September 11th. The accuracy of this tribute makes it that more moving. Again, thank you.

>>Yeah I think they could have left out the people falling out of the buildings. The rest was very moving.<<

And why should they "sanitize" this? So it would be prettier?

I hope we NEVER forget those images. That is the evil that they did to us.

It's a nice sentiment, but I suspect the lawyers for REM will be dropping the author a note as soon as they hear about it...

I hear ya! Music video format is so hokey. In addition, an extremely bad choice of music. REM?? Michelle Stipe's whinning is just too much for me. Come on, those guys in REM are the biggest p*ssies in the world. I bet they are blaming America for this.

While I'm on this rant, I really don't like a lot of the newer patriotic songs. I really dislike that "I'm Proud to be an American". I give it high marks for the effort, but it is such a musically bad song. Unfortunately, they just don't write too many patriotic songs these days. Honest to Pete, the old ones are really good. For example, Battle Hymn of the Republic is an absolutely wonderful and extremely moving song.

It left me sobbing. This should be shown on network TV over and over and over. No one could ever get hardened to this atrocity upon seeing it again. Such horror should never be forgotten OR forgiven. Pat
