Today was 'kids day' for the President and First Lady. The President spoke to a bunch of children who visited the American Red Cross headquarters in Washington DC. The children and the President were there showing their support for America's Fund For Afghan Children. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura was at South 17th Street Elementary School in Newark New Jersey, promoting 'Teach For America Week'. Get those right clicks ready because there are some keepers here! Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: You know, there's a lot of focus on our soldiers, and we're so proud of our soldiers. But there are other ways to be in the Army. And one way is to show the goodness of America. One way to fight evil is to fight it with kindness and love and compassion.

The picture of Laura hugging that little girl is so touching. It is so wonderful to see that Laura has the ability to comfort children.

No kidding - it's fab to see Laura, the teacher at work. She clearly enjoys working with children. Each and everytime we saw pics of Hillary in a school, she looked pained and like she was probably counting the minutes until she could get out of such duty. And why not, she didn't even raise her own daughter. She couldn't possibly be comfortable around kids. In fact, I'm convinced that she's not even comfortable with herself. Laura, on the other hand, appears at perfect ease.

There has to be a story behind this one.....

How wonderful that she and the President are keeping their schedule as much as possible. This has been long-planned.

Looking at all the photos, it looks like she wanted to participate and wasn't getting a chance. I'd be willing to bet that she started crying and Laura told her to come sit with her.

I saw him today on FOX with the kids and all I can say is WOW!
He was wonderful!
Our children are being shown biblical principles and faith in action.
President Bush (I love saying that)is a true leader.
What a gift he is to our nation.

Absolutely! It has been a very long time since I have felt this secure and happy to have such a good man for President and such a strong, yet caring First Lady to guide our country. In light of our present uncertain times, that is a strong statement!

Miss Annie, I think you are right. Mrs. Bush's grace is as evident as it is soothing. (BTW, your hair looks great this evening).
