My mistake, this should say THREAD 3.

Here's thread 2 (Which also got too long.)

Probably. Or as Rush says, equal time. Lots of trawling the other way here, continuously.

Actually, I think it would be wrong to hurt the sensibilities of our Evangelical friends on FR. I mean, converts like these don't really exist. If I had my druthers, personally I would rather see more "The Pope is the multi-headed beast of Revelations" and "The Jesuits and the Freemasons have made a blood oath to form the New World Order" posts.

Seems that some here are offended at the posting of this article about converts to Catholicism. Apparently it would be fairer to pretend that such converts do not exist.

Thanks for the clarification. Truth always prevails.

But please. Does'nt this border on trawling?

Yes it is, and his "nets" are about to get shreaded.

From the Free Republic posting guidelines:

I, for one, don't mind at all. However, I would think it would carry more weight if the source were someone with more credibility than Drake.

After having read an article by the man in which he "reviewed" a book which it was painfully obvious he had never completely scanned, I find it hard to take anything he says as more than stacking chips on his shoulder. He does the catholic church, much less the Catholic church, no honors.

Ok Although your idolatrous cult and it's false doctrines are the subject of both threads.

Keep it up...you are driving them home to Rome in droves, friend. Your posts are better at getting folks into Catholicism than anything I could possibly say or post! :

Beautiful conversion story!

I was a semi-regular reader of the Neverending Story threads, the first 50 anyway :-)

I was baptised Catholic, but also had the crummy Sunday school where we sang kumbaya and all the kiddie songs. I learned bible stories, but not much else by the 7th grade. My mom was all too happy to quit driving us to church on Sundays, so I quit.

I became really lost and basically . . . I went away to college, and was miserable. By the end of the year I joined The Navigators, a campus christian group. Was "converted" then.

. . . Which is how I met my husband. I believe God always gives us a "good alternative" even in the worst of times . . . ('93).

Fast forward to '98... Free Republic! I had been attending a Baptist church until the substitute preacher "dissed" most of my family by bashing Catholics from the pulpit. I was disgusted and stopped going altogether. I was shocked by the ignorance of folks about Catholicism (my neighbor thought we didn't believe in the Trinity?? Come on!), and I myself knew I was pretty ignorant as well.

These threads starting popping up all over, so I *had* to read a couple. If the cogent, well reasoned Catholic posters weren't enough to buttress my faith, the vile attacks certainly were. I began reading a bit more outside of FR, staying up all night some nights. I haven't yet found a bit of Catholic doctrine or dogma I disagree with! We've joined our local Church. We've missed . . . between traveling and illnesses. Now that the kids are well, I'm not! My . . . admonished me the other day, "Mom, when are we going back to church??" When I answered I was too sick to take everybody he asked "Why can't DAD?" They really enjoy Mass, I'm so pleased.

My husband is not Catholic, but he is all for raising the kids in the faith, and I'm sure if I am faithful, charitable, and prayerful, he will join his family!

Joyfully,

**

Thank you for your posts. I attended Catholic schools and come from a Catholic family, although I never personally practiced Catholicism. I'm 31 and didn't really believe in Jesus until about 3 years ago. After reading the articles you've posted, the responses to them and much prayer and personal study, I am now talking to a Priest about Conversion into the Catholic Church.

Why are you so much better at crying to moderators and posting inanity than at actually posting anything that shows any Biblical support for your cult?

And now you purposefully insult me. You obviously are not a Christian, and so I won't bother asking you not to offend my Catholic faith, since it probably makes no difference to you whether or not you offend me. But I will pray for you.

Just curious "Unbeliever" what cult do you believe in? Also, if you're intelligent enough, please explain what is false about the doctrines you ridicule.
