NBC Covers NYC Benefit: Fawning Interview with Bill, Ignores Booing of Hill
The Today Show
Posted on 10/22/2001 4:24:18 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest
The Today Show just aired an extended piece on the benefit concert held in NYC this past weekend, hosted by Paul McCartney, to benefit the WTC victims.
The piece featured a lengthy, fawning interview with Bill Clinton, in which he was able to giggle and smile his way through a description of how thrilled he was to be surrounded by rock legends McCartney, Jagger, etc.
NBC's coverage of the most notable political element of the evening - the thorough booing of Hillary by NYC policemen, firemen and others? Why, nothing of course.

We should have known, the fix was in...
there would be no mainstream media mention of Hillary's most embarrassing moment...ever.
Didn't happen.

As I always respond in these situations, I watch out of a combo of morbid curiosity and a desire to know what the liberal media is up to. Let's just say, on an small individual level, I do it for the same reasons that Brent Bozell focuses the work of his Media Research Center on liberal media bias.

Bill Clinton?? Wasn't he a govenor of Arkansas or Missouri a few years back?? The name rings a bell, but just can't connect him with a job or state.

I didn't hear Drudge last night. Anyone aware of a link to the tape of the booing? Didn't find one in Drudge's web page report.

Fox just played the tape of HRC getting booed.

Perhaps Letterman will have her on again so he can lick her wounded ego. Ya think?

Darn, I missed it! Tuned in just as they were showing Richard Gere pleading for love and understanding of the Taliban and getting booed himself. Can you describe the booing of Hill?
To: budwiesest
Most revolting thought of the day: licking anything associated with Hillary Rodham Clinton.
To: markfnkl
Clinton actually said "I met a lot of widows tonight!" He was all over them, feeling their pain I bet.

Hillary split in a hurry...was in France the next morning...probably to avoid any American reporters who might have questions about the NYC boo-haha.

I guess I could have used 'massaging' her ego, but would that have been much better? ("Rub my toes, Dave. Ah yes, between them, oh that feels so good"...Hillary)

Howard Stern is playing the clips of Natalie Portman and Richard Geir getting booed its funny as all hell.
