Vanity: Thank God that Prince Albert was defeated and that George W. Bush is our President
The Heart | Jim Robinson

Posted on 10/28/2001 12:39:42 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Had just a few hundred more Florida voters voted the other way, our jets and our carriers that are now giving bin Laden hell would've been "their" jets and "their" carriers. Now, I honestly have no idea what Al Gore and a Democrat led administration would've done regarding Osama bin Laden and Afghanistan, but I sincerely fear that whatever it would've been, it would've been disastrous for America and for the world.

George W. Bush was not my first choice for president and even though I actively worked against him during the primary season, I now thank God every day that he is our President.

And, Thank you FReepers! I thank you with all of my heart for the patriotic stand you took in cities all across this great nation to help make this happen. The Sore Loseman protests helped spark the will of the people to deny Al Gore and his Democrats their attempted coup d'état.

God bless President Bush and God bless America!

Long may we live in Freedom!

Thanks for the kind words regarding our President. I hope that he can continue to bring closure to this and get the country back on track.

One look at Clinton's administration is all that's necessary to assess and to imagine what the likes of an algore administration-from-Hell would entail.

Doves, aging-hippies, Haaarvard pointy-heads, and enviromental whackos. "Can't bomb" -- it'll endanger the o-zone!

I really, truly believe that the Gore Coup would have worked if not for the internet, and Free republic was certainly one of the main sites promoting resistance against Gore and support for GWB.

After watching "Victoria and Albert" on A&E, I won't be calling the principal goron "prince" any longer. The real prince doesn't deserve the disparagement!

I have a theory about Bush's recent visit to Sacramento. There was no reason for it--except: We conducted the largest demonstrations seen at the state capitol since the Viet Nam war. And we did it week after week until the fight was over. I remember when it was announced that video of our demonstrations had reached Bush/Cheney headquarters. We have every reason to be proud. I truly believe we saved this country from disaster. And I think we received an acknowledgement.

Does anybody have any ideas on who Gore would have had as Sec. of State, Defense, National Security Advisor, etc.? My sense is the Bush team is far superior to whoever Gore would have (given the "race/gender first, qualifications second" attitude of the Clinton administration) but have not seen any specifics. I thank God I don't have to listen to Gore preach and drone about terrorism, let alone worry about how he would handle the situation.

As a Christian, I believe George Bush was God's choice, and that He knew what the future held for America and prepared President Bush for what He knew was coming. Ask or read about the President and the thing that always comes through is his tenaciouness, just what is needed at this juncture in history. Some may disagree, but I believe we could have lost our country with 4-8 more years of the Clinton-Gore mess.

Jim, thanks for the site. The Sore/Loserman coup was defeated. I beleive this was due to the hard work of conservatives, inspired by FR, the hard work of Republicans everywhere, and a little help from the Big Guy Upstairs.

If Gore were president, there would not be enough tinfoil in the world for me.

I can't say that I am 100% happy at how this war is being handled, (because not all of the klinton holdovers have been flushed out of out military) but I am 100% relieved that the Bush Administration is in charge!!!

I can't even imagine what would be going on if algore was President.

Hey, this is a vanity! Shouldn't it be the "Your Opinion/Question" category? All kidding aside, I thank God every day we have the president we have versus the one we almost had. Bless all the freepers who played a role in saving us from that disasterous fate.
