LONDON, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- "From now on I will take my gun to Church," one of Pakistan's most outspoken Christian leaders told United Press International Monday, the day after 15 Protestants had been massacred during a service in Bahawalpur.

>> "I then suggested to the police chief that perhaps Christians should arm themselves for their own protection. He replied, 'That's one way, provided you have somebody who can handle a weapon.'"
This Paki police chief sounds smarter than our homeland security chief Tom Ridge. At least he realizes that real homeland security starts with armed citizens.

"We are between 5 and 6 million, and our number is growing."
I hope so, Timotheus, I hope so.
The only way you can persuade these people not to do evil now, is to persuade them not to be Muslim.

These people are so practical minded. We could use a few of them in our country. Contrast their attitude to the leaders in our country.

All Pakistani and Middle East Christians should be offered immediate sanctuary in this country. The caveat of course is that we will have to make sure their numbers are not infiltrated by terrorists. But if they want to come here to escape the New Babylon I think we should let them.

Wasn't it somewhere in the US last year where they wanted to pass a law that NO ONE CARRY A GUN in a Church? (They've already got the schools covered, next the churches.)
To: TERMINATTOR
Maybe we should all start packing when we go to church (if it's legal). For victory & freedom!!!
To: Saundra Duffy
Good people SHOULD take their guns to church. Why should people sitting in pews be sitting ducks and totally defenseless?

Q. What would a 7MM Semi-Automatic rifle be? A. Damned effective out to about 500 yards. :-)
To: Jolly Rodgers
OK. Ya got me! Same Q. What would it be? Some derivation of French MAS? Lee-Enfield? Math not my strong point. Does .303 caliber = 7MM?

That would likely be a 7.62mm rifle, but who's counting? A hole in a terrorist is a hole.

7.62 X 39 - SKS, AK-47
All commie rifles left over from the last war.
To: donozark
My guess would be an old
Mauser variant. Weatherby and Remington makes a 7mm too, but I doubt they would have either one of those. He could also be rounding off the caliber of a French MAS, which is 7.5, but those weren't a particularly popular rifle with the armies of the world. I would bet it's a Mauser.

If it is the 7.62, maybe its the "Right Arm of Freedom", the FN FAL.

It could very well be a FN 49 the predecessor of the FN FAL or the LAR(L1A1). They have a fixed 10 round mag and pretty accurate. Mine is in 8mm Mauser, but they were also made in 7mm Mauser and in 30-06 as well.

To: donozark
Considered how knowledgable the pressholes are (after all, they can't tell which side is the muzzle end), 7MM semi-auto is probably the venerable Kalashnikov or SKS variant...that's readily available in that part of the world.

Old Timotheus has the right idea; safety through strength and not weakness. He follows Christ's dictum about arming your self.

What, you don't? I do.
