Try empathy for America

Oct. 29, 2001

Please explain to me why our news media are trying to undermine the efforts of the United States government and military by producing stories that create sympathy for the Afghan nation and Muslims around the world.

This is not hate mail. I just want to know how this sedition can take place on our own soil. I'm not seeing pictures of the American orphan children left behind when the Taliban government and their terrorist network killed 6,000 innocent people.

I'm not seeing pictures of our civilian children, men and women burned beyond recognition. I'm not seeing pictures of our military service members who recently died in the line of duty trying to save American civilians from future terrorist attacks.

I do not see pictures of the postal workers who died of anthrax. Instead, I am seeing unfortunate acts of war to the Afghans.

What about the great tragedy that just occurred on our soil? Has everyone forgotten about it already? I haven't. I am one very angry military wife. I am looking for lawyers who will be willing to rise up and fight the news media in court for the way it undermines and endangers our government and our military personnel with sympathetic reporting of the enemy.

We are at war and war is not pretty. The reporting that is currently taking place is called sedition. Where are the stories about those missing in action from the attacks on America and the poor families left behind by this horrendous tragedy?

Precisely what I have been thinking. The pictures from the Aphgan. hospitals are sad, but, where were the pictures of our injured and dying.

Where are Amenpour's photos of the people dying of anthrax poisening.

The media is a propaganda machine for the DNC and lefties, the socialists, communists of America.

Simple answer is........ Media is part of the enemy within America.

Exactly, Joyce.

All of this media "concern" for "civilian" "casualties" belies their real motive: They want to Vietnamize this war.

The lib media sees no waning in support for the war in the polls. This steely resolve frustrates them to no end.

They see Bush's approval ratings nestled somewhere in the stratosphere, despite days and weeks of bashing him for Anthrax, bashing him for ostensibly sending "mix messages", bashing him for "lack" of "progress" on the war front, and bashing him for "civilian" casualties in Afghanistan. All to no avail: Bush's numbers, to the chagrin of his enemies in the press, haven't budged an inch.

Nor has support for the war.

But their analogy has a fatal flaw: This ain't Vietnam. 5,000 Americans were murdered -- incinerated -- on September 11. That's the date this war began, not October 7th, as the press would have us believe.

We didn't ask for this war -- our enemies declared it against.

We didn't start this war, our enemies did.

So let the quisling cretins in the press whine, bellyache, fuss, gnash their rotten teeth and rend their garments all they want, but America will win this war, and win it decisively.

Here's one story...

Burn Survivors Face Difficult Road

It is very hard to find stories about the injured survivors. There was this MSNBC story, one about a survivor of the WTC attack and a story on Armylink about military personnel who went back in to save their comrades.

Media is part of the enemy within America.

I read a news blurb earlier that the press will be stepping up its demands for "better" "access" to the war.

So what's to prevent these sniveling cretins from entering Afghanistan on their own?

Answer: Nothing.

So what's the whining and fussing all about?

This: These arrogant gasbags want American servicemen -- the very brave souls they despise and malign in their pro-Taliban "reportage" -- to "protect" them from the Taliban, the team they're rooting for! Will ironies ever cease?

Well, I've got some news for these quisling perveyers of Taliban swill: Go pound sand.

Psst! Hey "reporters", let me clue you in on something': Our fighting men and women have far more urgent business at hand to tend to.

Like fighting a war, for one thing. And they will not be diverted from their primary mission to punish the rat bastards who murdered 5,000 Americans just to save your sorry rear ends.

/Rant.

Love your rant JH. Same thing is happening to most of the people I know. Enough is enough. It is time for the dumbass media to shut up. We are in a war and have the right people in power to fight it. This is driving the media cretins crazy.

It will only turn into another "Nam if we allow the politicians and media to influence the course of this war.

The 24/7 need for news coupled with the mega million dollar salaries of the "anchor men" cannot be the driving force behind our military actions.

We already know that Jennings, Brokaw, Rather, Ammonpour etc hate the US so why allow them to put our sons in harms way so they can earn even more "cash and prizes"

Everytime one of them complains about a stalemate or slowness in this process we should strap one of them to a 5,000 pounder and drop 'em on a Talaban postion.

Thanks John. I love this piece. It's to the point and expresses my outrage at the propagandist newsmedia who slowly but surely pick away at our national confidence in our leaders and attempt to destroy our goodness as a people.
