Saudis to quit US if harassment goes on: Minister

Riyadh, October 30

Saudi Arabia will tell its citizens to quit the United States if harassment against them, which started after the September 11 terror attacks, continues, the interior minister was on Tuesday quoted as saying. "The kingdom is working to put an end to this matter (harassment), and we hope it will end," Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz said, quoted by the official SPA news agency.

"But if it continues, we would certainly tell our citizens to come home, or search for another place. But we hope it won't continue," he said.

Scores of Saudi students, hospital patients and worker who returned to the kingdom following the terror attacks have spoken of harassment, maltreatment and humiliation from both the US authorities and the public.

"We were subjected to tremendous pressure and close searches, especially while flying between states", said Abdullah Qattan, a student, who returned on Saturday.

"They even used police dogs to search our luggage, and for body searches, while they paid no great attention in searching other nationals. We felt very humiliated," said Qattan.

The interior ministry meanwhile set up a hotline to answer queries from families of Saudis detained in United States.

More than 100 Saudis were taken in for questioning over the terror attacks which Washington blamed on Saudi-born Osama bin Laden. Only 12 of them remain in US custody, officials say.

Prince Nayef also denied that Riyadh has arrested people linked to the terror attacks on New York and Washington.

Your comments? Lemme see, Saudis were closely searched especially "while flying between states." Most of the 911 hijackers were Saudis. It seems that these people got the victimology jargon and lack of reasoning down cold.

By the way, as I have said before here, if you want news, incl. US news, without the anthrax obsession, I highly suggest the Indian press. Even the website format is better than most american press.

Hmmm, let me see, why do the US think Saudi's are suspects of terrorism?

Here some possible answers:

1. Osama Bin Laden is a Saudi

2. Many Saudi's support and fund the terrorists

3. Amongst the terrorist who committed the attack on 9/11 were Saudi's

4. Saudi Arabia was one of three counties who backed the Taliban

5. Saudi Arabia denies that any of it's people are connected to the attacks and won't do anything about terrorism.

Lessee...... Saudi Arabia....... isn't that the country, that, about ten years ago, told our citizens and fighting men they could not bring their Holy Book into the country?

Watch out boys, there's a new spring on that door and it's just liable to snap on your ass as you leave!

ANWAR -Gulf Of Mexico- Texas - Oklahoma can provide all the oil this country needs if polidiots would get off their dead @sses and just do it.

With regards to Saudi's and Gulf States Oil sources, it's just a matter of time before our troops have to die to get it. I say let Arab oli barons rot in their oil like the dinasaours they and their lifestyle's are

Let em go home and stay home ! ....regards !
