Jacques is a lesbian Hilary clone. She is very ambitious and has moved up the political food-chain very quickly. She is rumored to be a Lt. Gov. candidate. She began her career in the AG's office and won a State Senator seat at age 30 (she is now 38). She lost her bid for Joe Moakley's congressional seat this fall.

She is an ultra-leftist and is of course loved by the Boston Globe. Being a lesbian is a plus in Massachusetts politics (see the history of our congressional delegation). But homosexuals adopting children is new, and a new low.

It always amazes me when somebody so rabidly supportive of "abortion rights" decides to adopt--and is approved as a fit parent. I'll bet she's going the insemination route instead.

You should mention that Cheryl's 'lover' is/was on her own government payroll...again, thank you, Howie Carr...

Her major claim to fame, as far as I am concerned, is her rabid antifather positions.

She supports extending the already unconstitutional Chapter 209A restraining order law so that a man's appeal rights would be virtually eliminated.

She is obviously extending her public posture that the only thing a child in the Commonwealth needs besides its mother is a turkey baster into her private life.

Thousands of her small victims are suffering because of her political success.

Even with today's technology you just can't have twins unless you go the multiply birth route and then kill the "extra" ones conceived.

And her brother was living in subsidized housing. Even more interesting, during her congressional campaign it came to light that Jacques "partner," who worked for Jacques, received four pay increases, doubling her salary over a four-year (?) period. And, according to Jacques, her "partner" lived with Jacques' brother in his subsidized apartment for a period of time before Jacques and her "partner" were officially an item.

Only in Massachusetts. And again, thanks Howie.

She can get Barney Frank to be her sperm donor.

Keep it in the Mass. family, so to speak.

When public hearings were held (in April of '99) on the infamous "Chapter 180" anti-freedom laws, she was conveniently "out of the room" whenever a pro-gunner was speaking but was right there if one of her "concerned citizens" was at the mike.
