In NC the DMV offices had been thronged earlier this week to beat the Nov. 1 deadline - NC has been the prime source for driver's licenses for illegal aliens along the whole east coast. The DMV initially resisted any changes, but 9/11 changed their tune quick. Now there's this. I wonder if they would give me a license:

It still amazes me that people are still so brain washed that traveling or operating a motor vehicle is considered a priveledge, where it clear (and the supreme court agreed) that travelling utilizing any conveyance is a right not a priveledge.

North Carolina: Chapter 1 Your License Driving is a legal privilege and responsibility. It is against the law to drive a motor vehicle on streets and highways without a valid driver license. It is also illegal to sit in the driver's seat of a motor vehicle while the engine is running or to steer a motor vehicle while it is being pushed or towed by another vehicle if you do not have a valid driver license.
