This interesting story suggests that the Clintonites weren't entirely idle in the hunt for bin Laden. At least that's what they'd have us believe, and you can imagine how much we Freepers trust the statements of the Clintonoids.
Still, it may explain why W saw no need to parley with the Talibs before bombing them. It would mean that they were already well aware of bin Laden's crimes. That's hardly a surprise, of course. Still, this adds an interesting few pieces to the mosaic...

Idiots, the Taliban and Al-Queda were locked into their symbiotic relationship from the git go.

I'm sure the Taliban passed on the information to bin Laden so he could eliminate the sources of this information.

Wait a minute! They can't have it both ways. First they didn't take bin Laden from the Sudanese because they didn't have enough evidence against him. Now they say they had evidence. What a bunch of creeps!!!

you are right! Madeline Al-not-so-Bright didn't check her story out with Bill no-secret-too-valuable-to-give-away Richardson. The reason W didn't negotiate with Taliban terrorists is because he has integrity.
