Washington's campaign to convince Middle East Muslims to support America's war on terrorism sounds like a no-brainer. America's cause is just, right?
So if only Washington can get that message out, Muslims of good will should promptly fall into line and help defeat the handful of bloody-handed terrorists among them.

There's a certain analogy in what Trevor Howard's Capt Bligh told Marlon Brando's Mr Christian in
Mutiny On The Bounty about what makes a man go aloft into the rigging in a full gale: "It's the fear of what you'll do to him if he doesn't."
It's fine to be liked. But if not, to be feared is even better.
