TASHKENT, Nov 09, 2001 (Itar-Tass via COMTEX) -- Militants of the Taliban movement seize humanitarian offices and facilities of the United Nations in Afghanistan.
The Taliban have several times taken aggressive actions against the World Food Programme, Tass learnt on Friday from the press service of the US embassy in Uzbekistan. Robberies become commonplace, and Taliban militants encroach even on personal property of officials of the UN missions.
Meanwhile the work to distribute food among refugees continues, as Piter Nicolaus, said chief of the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Uzbekistan. Over 10,000 tonnes of food has been distributed. Still upto seven million people in Afghanistan's territory doomed to famine and may even die of hunger in the coming winter, according to forecasts of the World Food Programme, Nicolaus noted.

Guess where the rest of the food will go now.
How can you tell?...
"Distributed" to whom, I wonder. The Taliban most likely. As for the UN buildings, we ought to find a way to evacuate those UN aid workers and storm the building. Good job for the Northern Alliance.
Really, the UN aid workers ought to know enough to get the heck out of there so we can bomb the building. The UN has already shown it is no friend to the United States.
What do they do, Un-seize them, wait a week
and then seize them back to create news?
Finally, good news. Now, if only the American government would do the same thing to offices in New York.
Who paid for the food? Where did the food come from?
Pretty please with sugar on it?
