Celia Farber, among the few who challenged the many myths about AIDS in a series of columns for Spin magazine is crowing now that Rolling Stone has seen the light. The article "AIDS in Africa: In Search of the Truth" by famed South African writer Rian Malan charges that researchers regularly inflate statistics about the lethal disease.
Malan, the author of "My Traitor's Heart," spent a year looking for proof of the soaring death rates cited by AIDS organizations in South Africa. Frustrated by conflicting data, Malan even studied coffin sales in Johannesburg, trying to find evidence of the supposed pandemic. Instead, he ends up debunking exaggerated numbers put forth by groups like the Swiss-based UNAIDS (the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS).
"As he gripped each thread of questioning, expecting AIDS orthodoxy to resolve his growing anxiety with solid answers, he only ran into more questions," Farber told us. "He wound up 'commendably' with an entirely different story than the one he pitched to Rolling Stone. Suffice to say, AIDS professionals will be aghast," Farber declares, "unless, of course they've decided to take their cash and ribbons and helicopter off to their chalets where they can hope to live out their days in anonymity."
Malan's findings debunk myths the scientific community has been spreading for 20 years. "The mind boggles at the bizarre notions that have held sway for decades," Farber said, "the Pulitzer Prizes that have been awarded for unadulterated hogwash."
Farber also notes, "In other media breakthroughs, the AIDS magazine POZ ran a cover story this month, that, for them, was very brave. It demonstrates, I think, the long-known fact that HIV antibodies have never traveled from women to men. It is simply a dead end. This ties nicely into Malan's quest for truth about AIDS in Africa. How is it, one might ask, that African people manage to spread this HIV so rampantly in ways that people in New York haven't managed in 20 years?"
A Rolling Stone spokeswoman said the Jann Wenner music mag (usually a repository of politically correct thought) was proud of the provocative AIDS piece. "Rian Malan is fantastic, and he spent a year in Africa researching this." she said. "It might raise questions, but I think there are unanswered questions and things that don't add up."
AIDS charities and the drugs companies fabricate any lie they can to extort money from the American public.

Except, of course, in the case of Magic Johnson.. yep... uh huh..
I began to question the whole thing when I came across the South African mortality figures by accident, and saw that they had not increased by even one tenth of one percent.
That seems to say it all!
I remember following the "AIDS epidemic" from the very early days of 1981, when there were just few hundred cases reported among homosexuals in New York and San Francisco. (Remember when the experts were claiming that AIDS was caused by the HTLV-III virus?)
From there, the CDC began reporting more cases here and there, from LA to Miami, as the disease followed the movements of the gay community. Then all of a sudden, out of the blue, the UN reported that there were 5 million cases of AIDS in Africa alone, and the infection rate was increasing exponentially! And, of course, they announced that they would require billions in spending to cope with the problem.
The "AIDS in Africa" story was pure hogwash from the beginning. It never made sense in the over-all epidemiology of the disease. That's why I was disappointed to read that the Bush Administration has fallen for the shake-down and has pledged $1 billion to Africa this year.
The more you research AIDS the less seems to add up. The number of Americans who (CDC figure) were HIV positive in 1985 was one million. The CDC figure now is only 650,000. I cannot see what kind of maths allows so many people to get infected since 1985 and yet results in a figure 350,000 LOWER!
Numaths I expect.
Best wishes,
David
The AIDS Blunder by David Rasnick, PhD Member of Thabo Mbeki's AIDS Advisory Panel (South Africa)
The contagious, HIV hypothesis of AIDS is the biggest scientific, medical blunder of the 20th Century. The evidence is overwhelming that AIDS is not contagious, sexually transmitted, or caused by HIV. I have come to realize that embarrassment is the main obstacle to exposing this simple fact.
So why are we barraged, almost daily, by an endless litany of AIDS horrors and HIV statistics? Why do virtually all doctors and public health officials profess their unswerving allegiance to the unproven hypothesis that AIDS is contagious and sexually transmitted when the evidence is greatly against it?
There are more than 100 thousand doctors and scientists who have built their careers and reputations by simply accepting the articles of faith about AIDS. At this late date, it is simple human embarrassment that is the biggest obstacle to bringing the AIDS insanity to an end. It is the fear of being so obviously and hopelessly wrong about AIDS that keeps lips sealed, the money flowing and AIDS rhetoric spiraling to stratospheric heights of absurdity.
The physicians who know or suspect the truth are embarrassed or afraid to admit that the HIV tests are absurd and should be outlawed, and that the anti-HIV drugs are injuring and killing people. We are taught to fear antibodies, and to believe that antibodies to HIV are a harbinger of disease and death ten years in the future. When you protest this absurdity and point out to health care workers that antibodies are the very essence of anti-viral immunity your objections are met with either contempt or embarrassed silence.
The National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control, the Medical Research Council of South Africa, and the World Health Organization are terrorizing hundreds of millions of people around the world by their reckless and absurd policy of equating sex with death. Self preservation compels these institutions to not only maintain but to actually compound their errors, which adds to the fear, suffering, and misery of the world-the antithesis of their reason for being.
The only way we can free ourselves from the AIDS blunder and bring an end to the tyranny of fear is to have an open international discourse and debate on all things AIDS. Anger will be a natural response to facing the enormity of the scandal of AIDS. Anger has its place but it should be put aside quickly. It is a mistake to focus on villains and on whom to punish. The AIDS blunder is a sociological phenomenon in which we all share a measure of responsibility.
Ultimately, the AIDS blunder is not really about AIDS, nor even about health and disease, nor even about science and medicine. The AIDS blunder is about the health of our democracies. A healthy democracy demands that its citizens keep a skeptical, even suspicious, eye on its institutions in order to prevent them from becoming the autonomous, authoritarian regimes they are now. The AIDS blunder shows that we need to rethink and restructure our institutions of government, science, health, academe, journalism and media. We must replace the National Institutes of Health as the primary gatekeeper of research funding with numerous competing sources of funding. We must restructure the peer review processes of scientific publishing and funding so that they do not promote and protect any particular dogma or fashion of thought or exclude competing ideas. A robust and mean investigative journalism must be revived, rewarded and cherished.
Finally, as citizens we must take back the authority and responsibility for our own health and well being and that of our democracies.
Pretty sure it was no "Onion" edition of the show.
What gives with that?
You must have read Peter H. Duesberg's "Inventing The AIDS Virus". He was black-balled by the medical community for presenting his research ...in the late '80s and early '90s.
He maintains...for example, the prime drug they use to treat AIDS...AZT.. was previously stripped from the drug shelves as a chemotherapy agent, because it devastated the immune system. His book is a must-read.
BTW...Magic Johnson was on a Christian talkshow giving his testimony awhile back. He had refused the standard medical treatments....preferring to be treated with vitamin supplements and such. I don't know how much time elapsed between the original diagnosis and when his Doctors declared him to be "cured". They can't find a trace of it. Ain't it amazin'? :)
Aids "activists" lied through their teeth about it here in America, why would it be different in Africa?
Of course the antibodies don't usually travel from one person to another. The viruses are communicable and lead to other health problems, not the antibodies. HIV antibodies are measured because they indicate the presence of the human immunodeficiency virus, which is more difficult to measure.
