'Their Blood Cries Out' ( Courtesy of Islam )

In Sudan Christians are enslaved. In Iran they are assassinated. In Cuba they are imprisoned. In China they are beaten to death.

In more than 60 countries worldwide, Christians are harassed, abused, arrested, tortured or executed specifically because of their faith.

200,000,000 Christians throughout the world live in daily fear of secret police, vigilantes, or state repression and discrimination.

These are not wild rumors. Nor are these simply Christians who, like so many others, suffer from war or tyranny. Hundreds of millions of Christians are suffering simply because of what they believe.

Author Paul Marshall, a senior fellow at the Center for Religious Freedom at Freedom House, is widely regarded as one of the world's leading authorities on religious persecution. Reading his book is particularly important now, to understand better the Islamic world in which much of today's Christian persecution is occurring.

“This is a gripping and eloquent book. The murder, torture, and persecution of Christians in the Third World, and even prosperous countries, is one of the worst, and least-reported, of global human-rights abuses … From China to Saudi Arabia to Cuba, thousands of Christians have paid a terrible price for their faith." -David Aikman, former senior correspondent and Beijing bureau chief, Time magazine

"'Their Blood Cries Out' is a towering exposition of the history, causes and realities of today's anti-Christian pogroms … Written with a rare combination of balance and passion, it will provoke needed debate within the American Christian community, open skeptical minds to the truth of today's persecutions, and sear the consciences of us all." - Michael Horowitz, Senior Fellow, Hudson Institut

Then again, Islam is pretty benevolent when you compare it to what Communism has done.

You know something's bad when it makes Islam look like a warm fuzzy. :)

Jesus saves, he can save anyone. He conquered death and gives us hope; no matter how many people oppress Christians, in the end, the Prince of Peace will give them rest.

Christiandom is certainly the underdog in this mixed up world of ours. I wonder why there isn't more support for it here in the United States (where we typically route for the underdog). You'd think the liberal types would jump on the bandwagon to "free the oppressed Christian minority".

Oh, wait, (I get so mixed up) ... Christianity implies ethics, morals, honesty, sincerity, and responsibility. Christians answer to a higher Authority. I guess that kinda rules out any association it could have with most of the liberal types. I guess we are a minority and we'll be stuck with that until Jesus returns. In the meantime, can't we etch out some place in the world where Christians can live without persecution? a safe harbor for all persecuted Christians? a place where people can publicly and proudly worship God without fear?

Whoops, there I go again (getting all confused) ... Isn't that what the UNITED STATES WAS SUPPOSED TO BE? It was such a beautiful dream once. I'm glad the forefathers aren't alive to see what it has become. Now that I am truly depressed, I think I will go weep in the corner.
