Ok kids, remember, taking these picks to Vegas might mean you could be washing Vegas dishes for years and doing favors for the mob for life. So unless you'd like to live the adventure, remember these picks are for entertainment purposes only.

For the college games, take Mississipi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan, Syracuse, California, Washington State, Alabama, Brigham Young, UCLA, Marshall, and Florida.

Best bets are Virginia, Texas Tech, and Maryland.

Currently this year I am 83-95-0 in college picks, and 14-16-0 in bese bets against the point spread.

For Week 10 (of the weak NFL), I'm taking: the Bills, Eagles, Packers, Jets, Saints, Bears, 49ers, Browns, Redskins, Cardinals (AKA my Lions are awful), Patriots, and Giants.

Best bets are Titans, Raiders, and those loveable Jaguars (not just a luxury car anymore).

Let's see how bad I can do this week. I am desperately trying to do well with my best bet picks because I have not gotten one right since Week 7 (when I got them all right). I am currently 61-62-5 against the point spread and 10-16-1 in best bets this season.

So, discuss the NFL/college for this weekend and post your own picks. You can probably find the point spreads in any newspaper (although the NY Post is excellent).

Might want to rethink Ohio State - quarterback suspended for drunk driving.

Bwahahaha, Ohio State. They've been having trouble covering the spread this year anyway, and as a Michigan man I hate them. Thanks.

Best bets are Titans, Raiders, and those loveable Jaguars (not just a luxury car anymore). Picking the Raiders over Chargers after Seattle just pounded them w/Shaun Alexander? Taking 3-5 Jags against Steelers with Pitts at home? Taking Patriots over Rams?
I think I see why your record isn't so hot.

These picks are against the point spread.

USC Trojans football I would not bet against the Trojans this weekend. Might not wager too much on them; but, I won't bet against them. Pete Carroll is turning the USC program back towards the top.

You should pick Clemson. South Carolina will suffer from a downpour of pitchforks and the chicken curse will be in full effect this weekend. Final score Clemson 35, South Carowhiners Blamecocks 12.

These picks are against the point spread Oakland's giving 9. They'll be lucky to win straight up. The Patriots defense should stomp on Kurt Warner's thumb the first play. Then they might have a chance - if they can hold Faulk to under 300 yards rushing and 6 TDs

I don't know what the point spread is for Oklahoma Sooners against Texas Tech but our defense is pretty good. Just looked it up and the spread is only 8! We found our offense against Texas A&M and no way is Tech going to light up the Sooners! We know that offense well and our offense has changed a lot since Leach was here!
My recommendation -- don't take the OU/Tech game if you are betting on Tech!

Pass on the Bills and Cardinal picks, the chances of helping your average by picking them is next to nothing, and your Lions are due, as they only get 3 days off next week before the Thanksgiving Day game. They won't enter that game with an 0-fer, IMHO.

Amen Pappy, the Va Tech Hokies will roll over the Cavs.

All I know for sure is that Green Bay will whoop Atlanta at home. They're 4-4 at home, and 6-2 for the season. Should be 7-1 in my opinion, but rules are rules.
That game will end with 21+ points spread, I calculate.

Picking the Raiders over Chargers after Seattle just pounded them w/Shaun Alexander? Absolutely! On any given Sunday any team can win. The Raiders were a little cocky before that game (with good reason to be) and now they know they aren't invincible. It will make them work even harder. See ya in the Super Bowl!

So, a little recap. With all the college games, finished, I went 2-1-0 in my best bets, and 6-10-0 overall. Lots of close games/traditional rivalries, upsets (USC), etc.

These guys covered: Illinois, Virginia, California, Alabama, Maryland, and Florida.

I was the only guy in my pick em league to pick Alabama, and with 61 points, I did have the high week! Go me.
To: d14truth
Wow, you were so right! I never saw that one coming. 27-0, what a game for the Trojans.
To: AppyPappy
Yes, the Hokies won, but they did not cover. Hoo ha.
To: Hillarys Gate Cult
You were right! But Clemson BARELY covered (difference was 5, spread was 5 and a half).....
