I wasn't able to make it there personally, but it sounds like it was fun.

Hi SCG.. Do you agree with these choices? just curious..

What the heck is the "Board of Equalization."

I'm from NY, and don't know any of these folks.
Wouldn't it be cool if the GOP took California?
Does California know about the real Clinton legacy, or are they still blinded by Marxism and welfare checks there?
Many were here, but 9/11 may, I hope, have changed that.

What the heck is the "Board of Equalization." State taxes. Income, sales, you name it, it's taxed.

We did get another "GOP" mayor of NYC, a liberal mecca.

'Sup BGN...
The endorsement of Simon I absolutely agree with.
Bill Leonard and Claude are good guys, too. I want tightwad Republicans in charge of tax policy.
Assemblywoman Leach is from up north and I'm not real familiar with her, but if she managed to get the CRA nod, she must be good. Ellie Michaels... I have no idea who she is.
As for Mary Toman... NO ONE of us on the central committee knew she was running until the last day to file. She never told anyone. I mean she'd be good as treasurer, she got the background, but she AND the 1st Vice Chair of the L.A. County Republican Party are both running for office next year. I'm worried a bit about where our leadership is going.
Tom McClintock is a GREAT man. He almost won the office in '94.
Stu Stitch is embarassing. I wish the CRA had just let this one go. You'd have to meet Stu to know what I mean...
I've never heard of Bill Crosby, I'd have expected Senator Dick Ackerman to get the nod, as he's more known.
For Secretary of State, Keith Olberg will do well, he's a good conservative.

Opps. Sorry, double post. It's late here, and the meteor shower was way too early this morning!

What the heck is the "Board of Equalization."Actually, State income tax falls under the Franchise Tax Board, but Equalization grabs money from whatever other source might be available. Sounds rather socialistic doncha think?

There was a piece here the other day saying that Karl Rove was "disillusioned" with Riordan. I certainly hope so. If a complete unknown like Corzine could get elected to the Senate in New Jersey just by spending a ton of money, even after putting his foot in his mouth several times, I don't know why it wouldn't be possible in California for someone like Bill Simon. And Simon should have some name recognition because of his very prominent and capable father. The Dems never hesitate to back someone like Corzine who has the left-wing ideology they admire and the money to back it up. I don't know why Republicans find it so hard to fall in behind natural conservative winners.

It was great! We met a lot of new Republician friends and of course caught up with some of our old ones.
Liberty Belles had a booth there Friday and Saturday for two days of schmoozing and elbow rubbing. We got to hear how some of the CA gubernatorial candidates stack up with the Second Amendment. Merc was there working the room like it was Vegas...babe;-) You should really try to make the next one!!

Awesome! Sounds like it was great.

How do I find out about when GOP stuff in CA is going on so I can go?

Lynne Leach for Superintendent for Public Instruction will be great. I am very proud to have her as my Assemblymember. She is very hard working and I have never known a politician who is as constituent oriented. She is a solid conservative yet is able work well with people of divergent opinions to achieve positive results.

"Bloomberg" is hardly a Republican. Better than Green, but that's all.
Riordan will likely win the governorship --- he's a RINO, but Bloomberg makes Riordan look conservative, even far-Right!
