Capitol Hill (CNSNews.com) - The Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee says Congress must "prevent trial lawyers from becoming war profiteers." But trial lawyers say they just want to hold everyone involved responsible for their part in the atrocity. Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.) warned in a written statement Friday that the liability protections offered in the original "airline bailout" bill and the aviation security bill signed by President Bush Monday do not go far enough. But a spokesman for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America says the complete waiver of liability Sensenbrenner proposed does not allow victims to adequately address the possibility that people, other than those who planned and executed the attacks, could be liable for damages. More to come.

Clearly, as citizens of Saudi Arabia and Egypt were the perps, and enjoyed at least the tacit approval of those nation's ruling elites, the trial lawyers should go after the US assets of those nations.
Saudi ambassador Bandar's Aspen mansion alone is worth $20 million.
Also, terrorist liberator x42 has a nice book advance that can be seized...

American and United Airlines permitted the terrorists aboard their airplanes and their employees surrendered the cockpits. Therefore the airlines are responsible.

The only people that should be sued are the ones that kept employees from leaving the 2nd building (if stories are true) when the first one was on fire. But then again those idiots are probably already dead.

All I am saying is that the pilot is responsible for controlling his aircraft. If he somehow loses control of the plane via pilot error or terrorist actions the airline in untimely liable for damages. However, with President Bush and the Congress handing out massive welfare to the airlines and insurance companies it will be you and I who will be paying.

How about the FBI and CIA for laying down on the job! I can't believe some people haven't been fired over this. It wouldn't surprise me if the incompetents in these agencies get promoted!

"Who Is Liable for the September 11 Attacks?"
I thought that had been pretty well nailed down. If they are still looking for who is responsible, I can prove where I was on 9-11.

Oh yeah, blame the pilot whose throat was probably sliced and had no weapon to defend himself. Yeah, that's the ticket....

ATLA is looking at these potential defendants: American; United; the airport facilities; the security companies running the x-ray machines. Not saying whether it is right or wrong, but those are the obvious targets.

Send all the trial lawyers to Afghan before the bombing stops.

Two of the largest reinsurance brokers, Aon and Marsh, were among the hardest hit by the attack. Insurance stock will not be the place to be, very soon.

Actually, insurance stock is looking good. Insurance co. have jacked up premiums through the roof and will likely be rolling in dough for the next couple of years.
