We're concerned that attacking Sudan will "further infuriate Arab public opinion"? Huh?
From what we've seen so far, if President Bush personally slapped every raghead in the face, we couldn't infuriate Arabs more than we have already.
We've already gone astray by governing according to polls of US public opinion, we can't start deferring to the collective ignorance of the Arab world. W ain't Clinton.

I'm for it, but folks, it may be time to get in your bomb shelters and get out the saltine crackers and water if we do it.

Who needs a case? Saddam Hussein has done enough in his life time to be executed a hundred times over. I say blow his wonderful palaces off the face of the earth.

We're in the neighborhood anyway............I'm thinking that we should do them in alphabetical order...

America should not care what any Arab State thinks, what have any of them contributed to the "coalition"?

I'm for it only if hard evidence ties Iraq directly to the events of 9-11...so far I haven't seen it.
If evidence cannot be discovered then I would prefer we lift the sanctions, buy oil from them, and put our energy covertly towards assassinating Saddam.

"I say blow his wonderful palaces off the face of the earth."
I believe the US/Allies will do that. It begins when Saddam is ordered to resume UN inspections. I think his ego will not allow inspections and that is all we need to start bombing.

Actually, Saudi Arabia is much more dangerous in the overall scheme of things, but there are too many business deals to unravel between the administration, its sponsors in the oil industry and the 30,000 princes to do anything but make nice with the Wahhabis.
I'd like to roll back the clock to 1990, let Iraq take over Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and then see what happened from there. At that time, Iraq at least thought we were its ally. Saddam has always been a b@st@rd, but he thought he was our b@st@ard, sorta like Stalin was during WW II.
Flame away as I know that 11 years of media conditioning have established Saddam Hussein as a character somewhat more evil than the Antichrist in the minds of the American public. Not too many folks remember the 1980s anymore.

Learn this: terrorism is like organized crime. It's a problem of networks and organizations, not individuals.

It begins when Saddam is ordered to resume UN inspections. I think his ego will not allow inspections and that is all we need to start bombing.I'm in agreement with that. Plus Bush is putting alot of other items in place. For example, making deals to buy more oil from Russia and Mexico instead of the Arab states. Also filling up the Strategic Oil Reserve. That way, instead of relying on Mid-East oil we have other sources in case we piss off any Arab states. We won't care if we piss 'em off; we'll have other oil. I expect a few other moves from Bush before he starts to demand inspections.

Like the Northern Alliance, Sadam has groups in his own country that might work with a similar game plan as our current one.

I agree, and following the tentacles will surely lead to some interesting and unexpected places.
I'm in no rush to bomb the hell out of Iraq as I don't see it in America's best interest at this time.
That could change as the American intelligence comes in.
