[history]
November 20, 2001 -- The answer to the riddle of why Al Gore joined an obscure California fund is that Wall Street wouldn't hire him.
The man who would be president had sought in earnest all year to land a top spot with one of the major city firms because he wanted to be in the Big Apple, sources said.

The biggest was that Gore admittedly is a novice in the business world and could hardly be expected to bring in any business. One source said Gore couldn't provide a good answer to their question: "What can you do for us?"
Woah!!!!!! Wait a minute here,,,,isn't this the guy who is a famous screen/book writer, and peace broker, and inventor in the field of information technology??? And they didn't expect him to bring in any busines...I am LOL.

Why...........the very NERVE of Wall Street!!! Don't they know who he
is???? They just don't get it! He is
Al Gore [cue fanfare], champion of the weak, protector of the environment, enemy to the mega-corporation and the internal combusion engine.
Al Gore, the very definition of compassion and wooden public speaking, the man who by golly by gum really really was elected President and really should be in the White House 'ceptin' the Republicans and the Supreme Court cheated and all of the glory spilling onto that bumpkin from Texas should be
his, his, HIS!!!!!! He should have been welcomed with adoration and open, loving arms by the Big Apple, just like his former boss.
Instead....................................they wanted to know what he could do for them.
"Do". "Do. How incredibly unfair and insensitive and unjust.
Al, we'll burn a candle for you tonight and then send you emails in which we'll begin your business education.
This week's lesson is entitled "What Did You Do For Me This Week?"

Wonder if Bill and Hill told their cronies on the Street to put out the unwelcome mat.

It isn't called the left coast for no reason.

Wonder if Bill and Hill told their cronies on the Street to put out the unwelcome mat. They didn't need to. No rational, profit-oriented business would trust Gore with the management of money. If I were a client of Metropolitan West I would pull my dinero out now.
To: kattracks
Does Metropolitan do anything I can boycott? What a stupid company. Are they public? I would dump the shares? How pathetic a bunch of people to hire worthless Gore. He can't even manage a house he was renting. How is he going to manage any funds? I wouldn't trust him further than I could spit.

Seeya, Big Poosie! Whadda LOOZZER.
Don't waste time thinking Bill and Hill will ever go away. They are so mobbed up with the Arkansas boys and the New York gyyrls that nobody will ever be able to shame them out of our faces. Owell.

Great-- they would vote for him for president, but they won't hire him.

When a corporate web site needs that much time to load ... you just know they have no conception of what biz is all about !
Gore will fit in just fine.

But none of Gore's prospective employers, including big buyout firms and major investment banks, would take him on, according to sources close to several of the firms. Being a securities broker by profession, it was sort of a blow to hear the intital account of this story yesterday. But knowing no one on Wall Street was stupid enough to hire this cretin greatly heightens the faith I have in my industry. Whoever this pinhead CEO of Metropolitan West is ought to be fired. Hiring a guy whose understanding of economics rivals your average ten-year old's and who spent his entire campagin villifying the business best clients: "fat cats", "the people versus the powerful", blah, blah, blah.
Now there's a wise PR move for ya!

Hoooooooollllddd on there pardner! Wasn't it Al Gore who stated after Bush won the presidency fair and square that he, Al Gore, was going back to Tennessee to mend some fences??????? What happened? Did Al lose his way??

Barf Warning!!
Here is All Bore's real wish, the fool.
To: kattracks
he biggest was that Gore admittedly is a novice in the business world How could this be? Wasn't Gooober the number one,CMMFIC of teaching the Russians how to manage all the aid money given to them? If I remember correctly,he was THE "man" who was gonna teach the Russians how to "westernize",along with his Harvard business school advisors. I'm sure the fact that what happened was the Russian economy collapsing twice, and the "businessmen" (aka:mafiya-former KGB agents who controlled him and his alleged daddy)managing to steal all the money and send it to offshore banks is just a coincidence. Goober would NEVER be the front man for anything criminal or dishonest. Right.
To: kattracks
he has already displayed one marketable skill : the ability to get $ from people without anything in return --- those years in Congress sure help
To: kattracks
Metropolitan West, a closely held firm, said it has $51.2 billion in assets under managementThey won't have 51.2 billion for long if they keep making stupid mistakes like this - hiring this pathetic looser.
