Advertisment Compares Pro-Life Advocates to Terrorists Washington, DC -- In a new advertisement scheduled to appear today and tomorrow in two Washington, D.C. newspapers, the pro-abortion Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice labels pro-life advocates as "domestic religious terrorists" and compares pro-life people to Osama bin Laden and the Taliban.
The ad blames pro-life advocates for letters containing anthrax threats sent to hundreds of abortion facilities over the last several weeks -- despite any clear evidence pointing to any credible pro-life groups or people.
RCRC President Rev. Carlton Veazey states in the ad, "Like other extremists who cloak themselves in religion, antiabortion zealots are certain God wants them to terrorize and even kill for their beliefs. Tragically, America is now feeling the kind of fear abortion providers and women have long known." It also says that post-Sept. 11 America is feeling the same fear that abortion practitioners have long known.
The ad, running in the Nov. 14 issue of The Hill and the Nov. 15 issue of Roll Call, (two political newspapers geared toward members of Congress, their staffs and other political and media elite) is titled "Bombs, Bullets and Anthrax" and states that "[t]errorism in any form has no place in a nation that values tolerance, pluralism and individual conscience," adding that those who attack abortion facilities "blaspheme the very religions they claim to represent."
The ad discusses acts of violence against abortion practitioners and abortion facilities but makes no mention of acts of violence against pro-life organziations, pro-life people or crisis pregnancy centers. No quotes are provided in the ad from countless credible pro-life organizations that have strongly condemned abortion-related violence over the years.
The ad concludes that Americans must "intensify our struggle against those -- whatever their ideology, theology and geographic origin -- who would deprive us of our rights and freedoms."
The RCRC is a "national interfaith pro-choice organization" composed of 40 national religious groups from 18 different denominations and faith traditions, and bankrolled by abortion advocates.

Since the pro-abortion groups first announced these hoax letters as an organization, it seemed a bit suspicious. Now with these ads, its quite clear the pro-abortionists are using anything they can to advance their cause. Disgusting. The FBI should look at left wing fruitcakes involved in "pro-choice" activism as the likely source of the recent anthrax hoax letters.
How foolish!! Now we're in a situation where anyone even speaking of pro-life will probably be branded a terrorist and subject to harrasement under the Patriot Act. We could have used that money to finance a counterattack on what's sure to be coming up.
Hitler loved animals and was a dedicated vegetarian. How do you think the animal-rights crowd would like to be identified with him?

It is time for a million letters to the publishers who took those advertisements. Now if I were an extreme leftwinger, or just a Democrat, I'd say it's time to burn newstands - instead I'll just say that for the WarshPost I'll meet them at the next zoning hearing where they have an issue. That's the kind of loss not covered by other people's money through the mechanism of an insurance company.
This law is going to be used as a weapon against anyone whom the govt chooses to label as terrorists. Such people might include those that actively oppose abortion, those that own "too many" firearms, those that advocate for the upholding of the Constitution.
What really amazes me in the wake of Sept 11 is that there are so many FReepers that just decided that allowing govt to do whatever it claimed it needed to do in the name of "safety" or "national security" was a good idea. Now perhaps these people realize that this legislation could be used against them, and maybe it isn't such a good idea to give our incompetent govt officials, whose policies were the direct cause of Sept 11, too much power.
Get real. What other group of people other than the Pro-lifers that has been harassing abortion clincs.
One look at the Baby Butchers on Trail is enough to tell you with absolute certainty that the statement is frighteningly true.
You will find that web site that claims to represent all christians. It has an assination list of "baby killers" with the completed assinations clearly denoted with glee.
And they call themselves "Pro-Life." What a joke!
Wow! 45 million abortions.
Now lets see...
The population of the USA is 250 million. Half, 125 million, of that population are women. Two thirds, 83 Million, of those women are of child bearing age.
That means that 1 in every 1.88 women have had abortions.
Yikes!
Think of all the implications of the ratio. Think of what it means in the voting booths of America. Think of what that means in terms of the probablity of pro-life women having snuck off to an abortion clinic.
I clicked on his screen name and got a message saying he does not exist.
