SANTA ANA, Calif. - Before you can walk the beat as a police officer in this Southern California city, you have to be able to talk the talk.

Recruits must be bilingual before they can wear a badge. City Hall employees, from receptionists to telephone operators, are required to speak two languages. Even park workers must be able to speak more than English.

"Its an asset that we have"

Actually, its the first sign of advanced cultural fissuring. The exclusion of English-only speakers from government jobs is the first step towards ethnically cleansing Anglo-americans from the ranks of the government altogether (why should someone have to be able to speak a foreign language to serve in a government job in the United States of America?).

Eventually, the area will be totally consumed by immigrant Spanish-speakers, and the native born English speakers will either have to live on as an expatriate community or leave.

I am waiting for the first story to break involving Americans arrested on American soil by police and a court system where no one speaks English. Will they get a fair trial? Will they be supplied a translator? Stay tuned.....

Is there any doubt that the inmates have taken over the asylum? Red blooded English (only) speaking CITIZENS cannot work for the county.... Sounds like discrimination to me.

You have described how I feel about this situation. IMO, the US needs to truly crack down on illegal immigration, if it values the rights and opportunities of its citizens.

Once the Mexicans have a large geographic area under their control, will they be able to manage that area any better than they have Mexico? We hear they are an asset to our country, but we also hear they are uneducated and low wage earners.

"The US needs to crack down on illegal immigration"

Don't hold your breath. If after 9/11, our borders are still not guarded by the military, I doubt that anything will change the situation.

The problem is that both branches of the American Imperial elite benefit from uncontrolled third world immigration. The economic/corporate elite likes waves of cheap labor, and the political/cultural elite likes having waves of voters who will support a socialistic form of government.

Neither of these groups gives a darn about traditional America, and both detest the white middle class.

Since these groups view themselves as internationalist/globalists, they will continue with the current immigration policies for as long as they benefit as a class and as individuals. If it destroys America in the process for the middle class....too bad.
