[history]
It took four plane crashes, two tumbling towers, and a gaping crater in the Pentagon to blast sex out of the news -- at least for a while.
American culture is funny. First, we isolate sex from everyday life -- although the two are inextricably intertwined -- and then we repackage it and show it to the world, often with a prurient twist, for a profit.

I had heard of reports of marrage increase after 9-11, and now this article. Has anyone seen an article or report on the number of divorces since 9-11?

I've gotten laid more often than usual post 9-11...seems true to me :)

Interesting post; thanks. Same thing happens on the battlefield. As soon as the battle's over, your body takes over and you only want one thing. I've heard it suggested this is a very Darwinian survival thing; when you feel threatened, your body wants to make sure you reproduce. I believe it.

This article implies that homosexuality is a "constitutional right"...and she believes that objecting to Clinton having sex in the oval office..is sexual Mcarthyism...Grrrr..as a redneck Texan and Christian...it raises my hackles..I will never be able to go to any place in California-where gays walk around freely and protected by the law.I just don't understand how anyone can put up with it on a daily basis-I feel sorry for all y'all freepers out there in California.

It's easy if you are a liberal that has no appreciation of traditional values and interest of responsibility for following generations.

I take the Bill Orielly stance on this one. I have no problem with it, as long as they keep it in thier own bedrooms. When they start trying to influence policy, indoctrinate children, etc...thats where I have issues.

OH yeah, report from the campus on this one: More girls seem eager to carry out their instinctal urges to..well..procreate. Of course they have no interest in having a kid, nor do I. But the instinctal urges are there, and higher than normal, so I'd say the author of this post is on to something...

But the instinctal urges are there, and higher than normal, so I'd say the author of this post is on to something... Yep, sounds like everything has returned to the former state of "normalacy" - behaving like unthinking animals who have no ability to hold to a higher standard.

You are right, nothing like " gettin' laid" and bragging about it online. Class act.

'twas normal when I was in college 1968-72. Nothing changes.

Good for you, ibs - strength of character is so much more appealing than a man who lacks self-control. (Examples of the latter - Clinton, Condit, etc.)
To: Eric in the Ozarks
Agree. Nothing's changed except perhaps the media, who are looking for a new angle on an old subject.

Howdy--that's a big 10-4 on that...when it leaves the bedroom-it's time to draw the line. It seems like America is pre-occupied with sex at times...but I try to console myself that maybe it's a minority...and the majority is actually good folks.
